For auction is a 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible automatic that just completed a frame on restoration. With the exception of a couple of modifications, he car was restored to original factory colors as supported by the PHS documentation. The Body Tag in the firewall is decoded below: 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible The paint was Verdoro Green with Ivory convertible top. The trim color and material were Parchment Vinyl This car has the Fisher Body Unit Number 5,331 built in the 5th week of June at the Lordstown, Ohio plant. Deluxe Front Seat Belts Paint/Exterior: The car is finished in its original Verdoro green color and the paint is a 9.5/10. Paint job is almost flawless with no waves, orange peel or other defects. The car was painted with DuPont Chromabase with 4 coats of color and 4 coats of clear. The car was then wet sanded and polished to a mirror like finish. All new components follow: exterior emblems, door handles, mirrors, wheel moldings, all chrome/stainless steel trim replaced (windshield header molding, convertible rear well molding, convertible chrome pillar molding, to name some of the major ones), rechromed vent window assemblies at a high cost ($ 900), rear lights, front and rear bumpers. Interior: Finished in its original Parchment color with all new components. New carpet, restored steering wheel, new dashpad, new knobs, restored console, new convertible power switch, new seat covers and padding professionally installed, new door panels, all new door hardware, all new weatherstripping and rubber seals, new emblems, brake/accelerator pads. Drivetrain: The car came originally with a 326 V-8 with a two barrel carburetor from the factory with a 2 speed powerglide. The car has been upgraded to a 1968 Pontiac 350 with a 4 barrel quadrajet carburetor. The car still retains its original 2 speed powerglide. The previous overhauled the engine .030 thousands over and added a mild cam. Convertible Top: The top is the original Ivory color, brand new and profesionnaly installed. New hydraulic lines, new convertible top actuator cylinders, new convertible top motor. Glass: All new glass. New windshield, new vent glass, new door glass, new quarter side glass. All chrome and window assemblies new. Front disc brakes and rear drum brakes: All new from InLine Tube factory style dual piston front disc brake conversion kit ($1200), GM power booster kit with dual master cylinder ( $ 325), new rear drum brake kit ($ 400). Other new parts/upgrades: New stainless brake and fuel lines, new front and rear spoilers, restored Pontiac Rally II wheels, Petronix electronic ignition/coil/wires, 400 air cleaner and valve covers, hood tach, finished trunk in the proper paint splatter, headers with dynomax mufflers and new exhaust ends, new alignment and some new steering parts. Known issues: Speedometer and radio do not work. They were working before restoration, so I believe it is a simple problem but I was not able to diagnose it.
