Here's another one for the purists and vintage lovers a TOTALLY RESTORED 1956 Volkswagen Beetle in Black with red interior. Two year restoration, all original sheet metal including floors, fenders, hoods, doors etc. Original engine and transmission. All fully rebuilt to virtually concurs condition. This car is spectacular. Body number 123010. The engine date is within the same month of production as the body. Drives tight and smoothly. Starts right up and purrs like a kitten. The semaphores work beautifully. A pair of reproduction Albert swan neck mirrors for a period correct touch. Restored Bosch horns (LOUD) relay sticks at times because of current draw. The correct hood is original down to the witches hats underneath and the original hood emblem. Additionally the original early symmetrically fluted VW and BOSCH logoed European spec headlights are restored and stellar. Reflectors on tail lights were even re chromed. All of the glass is correct glass with the exception of the windshield (dark blue tint at top) and vent wings which are brand new. A set of original accessory popout windows were also added and are a nice feature. The original matching logo quarter glass will also come with the car. The pan is in excellent shape, rock solid. Correct fitted radio with original jewel-tipped antenna (needs new tubs was working correctly, spare radio and tubes included) Glove box clock fuel and mirror clock included. Block off plates for radio and speaker included. If its in the picture it comes with the car!!! Original owners manual with receipt for purchase of car stapled in back (incorrect vin). Proper Wolfsburg crest, correct grooved running board covers, bolster pillows, Mechanically this Oval is bone stock, matching numbers, and extremely nice. Original KM speedo rebuilt with newer needle. The transaxle is still the stock split case and shifts snuggly and smoothly. Of course the car still has the stock 6 volt system as well. The brakes were completely rebuilt and the fuel system, axle boots, axle seals, wheels bearings, etc. were all serviced. The suspension is on spec as well. You really need to drive it to feel exactly how nice it is. All stainless trim and bumpers, and all German rubber. Running board rubber and hood and rear deck rubber correct also. It most definitely makes a strong impression with enthusiasts and gets endless compliments from the purist following. All German parts were used in the restoration and all old body filler removed down to bare metal. All metal was primer etched prior to painting. Mohair headliner, wool square weave carpet, rubber floor mats, the car has no rust or bondo hiding any dents. Under the front hood is superbly detailed as well. Wiring is all correct. The only items that are not correct on the car are the rear luggage rails on the carpet, pop out windows. I did not skip or take any short cuts on this car. You couldn’t build it for twice the money.
