Up for bids is this 1971 4 door Ford Galaxie 500 N CODE FACTORY ORIGINAL 429 C.I. 4 V. It has the original numbers matching 429 c.i. 360 hp/480 ft. lbs. of torque @ 2900 rpm's engine backed by the original automatic transmission. It has pwr steering, pwr brakes, factory air, and original AM radio.This car starts, runs, and drives very nicely. The engine has NO knocks, lifter noise, or any other "bad" noises. It desn't smoke. It has a fresh set of correct D0V-C heads on it. It has nearly new radial tires on it too! The hood has the only known rust on the entire car! The undersides up front near the corners as shown is it. The trunk is absolutely beautiful as shown and it is 100% original untouched! There is zero rust on any of the fenders, quarters, trunk, inner fenders, rockers, etc. There are a couple of hen peck dings on the hood edge chrome molding and 2 places the grille is chipped out. The padded dash is cracked in 2 places. The upholstery isn't horrible especially for being original, but the seats could use recovered. The air doesn't work and will need a new compressor. This car is a rocket and an absolute time capsule!! It has a new aluminum radiator in it, but the original one is available if the high bidder wants it. Check out the photo of the date coded windshield washer motor! This car was purchased from some folks out of Oklahoma in about 1997 (see the picture of the emissions decal in the windshield) and has been in sunny and dry western Colorado since then, and that is why it is virtually rust free.
