Vehicle Detail
I am listing this project car for a friend who can no longer plan on restoring it. I am not a Ford man so I am passing along information from him. The car is complete, has a clean open Arkansas title. Still has the engine and transmission in the car. The heads and intake are in the trunk, as is the radiator and other miscellaneous parts. He believes the car originally came out with a 427 ci engine because it has a "Q" as the fifth digit in the VIN. He believes it to still have the original factory 4-speed. All the original interior is complete and still in the car. It is not known if the engine in the car is original to the car. All of the 7-litre emblems are still on the car. He needs to sell this car so it is being offered NO RESERVE but is listed locally for the Buy-It-Now price of $3500. Therefore, this listing may be withdrawn before the end of the sale. The car needs a complete restoration but is definitely restorable. It is not a rust bucket! Although it has some rust because of its age. If you would like additional pictures, we can provide them. Buyer must arrange transportation but we will help load on your trailer.$500 deposit required within 24 hours. Will accept PayPal for deposit only. Payment in full must be received within 3 days. Vehicle may be left up to 30 days before pickup but must be paid in full within 3 days. You may speak to the owner directly for more information by calling Joe at 501-912-8303. Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS. Calling will provide quicker answers than e-mailing questions to me but I will be glad to help if needed. This car should appeal to anyone who likes muscle car, mustang, cobra, hot rod, street rod, big block, top loader, or other search tags. On Oct-29-10 at 05:22:55 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: Here is some additional information: Door trim id tag: Body-63D, color-8, trim-86, date-10B , axel-no stamping over it, trans-4 5, heads-OG18 08AEH, second head--OG24 08AEH, intake--CGAE9425G. No major rust issues. The floor seems solid. The trunk floor may need to be replaced. No rust thru in top around rear glass. Factory AM radio, interior should be usuable for a driver car except for drivers seat cushion (need to be replaced). Door panels look reusuable. Has keys to door and trunk. We had the car examined by an engine rebuilder. He believes the engine is a 428 and that the heads are probably replacement 428 heads. The car has power steering. The distributor is in the trunk as is the radiator. We will post additional pictures as soon as possible. On Nov-01-10 at 11:06:51 PDT, seller added the following information: The majority opinion is that this car came out a 428. PLEASE-NO MORE EMAILS SAYING THAT A "Q" CAR IS A 428! WE ARE CONVINCED. As we stated, we are making no representations that this car has the original motor, of whatever size. There are over 2200 views on this car and over 200 people watching it. This is still a very desirable car to restore and we hope the person who wins this auction enjoys it. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!
