Vehicle Detail
I am selling this bike for my brother who is ebay deficient. I have sold dozens of bikes on ebay over the years and have a 100% rating. (Please check my feedback) The reason I am telling you all this is my brothers bike, while a salvage title, works properly and looks great. He has owned the bike for 4 years, putting on ~ 18,000 of the miles. It runs spot on and has no known problems. Before he took it on his trip this summer he had his mechanic go over it from top to bottom. It is a very good bike that I will stand behind. Nothing is wrong with it. I hope this helps, because it is a good bike and while he loves it, his age is catching up with him and he is looking for a lighter bike, possibly a Hinckly Bonneville. Anyway, here is his detail of the bike in his own words: Here is an exceptional 1999 black and orange Honda Valkyrie Tourer with only 27,361 miles. This Valkyrie runs fantastic, has been garage kept, and has been extremely well maintained. This bike and I made a trip to Arizona this summer and it ran flawlessly. The bike was comfortable since it has a number of comfort and convenience features. One thing I did was to put on handlebar riser, which elevated it about an inch. Another comfort feature this bike has are kuryakyn highway pegs, which allowed me to stretch my legs. Then there is the Mustang seat, another big plus on the trip that saved my butt, all pun intended! And finally there is the throttle lock which was a great relief to my wrist. It allows for the occasional resting of your wrist. The bike came from New Orleans and was there during hurricane Katrina. It was stored in a warehouse that was partially damaged, but not where the bike was at. The owner made an insurance claim and that is why the title says "Flood" and "Rebuilt" even though it actually wasn't.
