Up for sale is my 2004 BMW X5 4.8is. I will give you the most honest and upfront details of the condition. I do not have a lien on this vehicle and I have a clean title in my possession. I have included as many pictures as possible and I also have proven that I will never be a professional photographer, so please forgive me for my poor picture taking. I really tried my best. LOL. I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. The carfax says 4 but when I flipped the title/registration from my name to my wifes name, it pushed it to 4. The vehicle drives perfectly. It has 88580 miles and there are no known mechanical problems. I have always had the BMW serviced at the BMW dealership and it has never seen a local garage. I am a neat freak and I do not smoke and do not have pets. The brakes are less than 10k old. The engine and transmission are strong and smooth. No hesitations or rough idling. The power of this v8 375 horsepower engine is intense. At startup the truck sounds like an outboard boat engine wwith its monster dual exhaust. At the time this was the top model of BMW SUV's. It has all the bells and whistles that BMW offered at the time. To name a few, it has Navigation, front & rear parking assist/alerts, front, rear & side airbags, hydraulic suspension with 3 ride options, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, DSC (dynamic stability control), power trunk/tailagate, auto tire pressure warning, auto headlites, 3 person memory seats, 3 remote garage controls, power rear seats, factory alarm, auto rain sensing wipers, premium sound system with unbelievable acoustics and bass, rear sun visor shades on both driver & passenger windows, dual heated seats, power windows, power seats, tinted rear view and side mirrors, Xenon headlights, automatic transmission with the clutchless manual shift option, cd changer with also a aftermarket IPod attachment that I installed so you can listen to your MP3's. I have added a few little nice things myself too. I installed BMW issued rain guards on all doors, brand new floor mats, chrome rear (5th) door molding, tinted windows and chrome license plate covers. The exterior has no dents and the only signs of wear are a few rock chips in the hood from highway driving. They are barely visible and I do have BMW touch up paint which matches this exact color which would practically make them disappear. The interior is very clean. There is some very minor scratches on the driver side door leather by the door handle and the passenger headrest has a small scratch along with the passenger side seatbelt molding. The glove box opens and closes fine but has a cracked plastic hinge.lastly, the previous owner sold me the vehicle with some scratches on the rims. They are alloy and they are not terribly visible. I know I'm being picky, but I promised to be honest. Black leather looks great but as black leather always does, any little tiny scratch shows. I just had the oil changed at BMW, so it is good for at least another 10000 miles or so. Both front uper ball joints and bearing have been replaced. Also both front air shocks are new. I had a transmission service/flush done to the vehicle just for preventive maintenance purposes. The battery is 2 months old with a 5 year warrenty. The exterior body molding is also very unique and was only produced for this series of x5's- 4.8is. It has an very sporty look. The tires are 20 inch x 9.5 in the front and 20 inch x 10.5 in the rear which gives the vehicle exceptional handling. Now, the question everyone asks... Why am I getting rid of it? I am moving to Florida where a AWD SUV with heated seats and black leather interior is not not practical. I currently live in Southern NJ in the shore area and travel 50 highway miles eachway daily. The miles add up fast but they are very stressless miles for the vehicle. If you look at the pictures that I included of the engine, it looks like it just came off the showroom floor. If you come and test drive it, you will see for your self. When I bought this I had it shipped to me so if you are not from the area I can assist with the shipping arrangements although all costs are to be paid by the buyer.
