Up for auction is a 1953 Ford F-100 in very restorable condition. We purchased it 8 years ago and just had too many projects but has been stored inside. The person it was bought from had owned it for over 10 years prior and also had it stored inside. It is in good condition for being 57 years old. It runs and drives around the yard, but will need to be trailered home. There is rust in places, most of which can be seen in pictures but nothing that is unrepairable or that I consider a big concern. The floors are fairly solid and the body panels are in decent shape for their age. The running boards have a few small holes, but are repairable. It has a 302 V-8 that runs good with a working C-4 transmission. The brakes do not work, and we have not looked into them. The bed still has wood and slats in it, looks as if it could be original, but not sure. The wheels appear to be original with 3 of the 4 full moon hubcaps. I believe some of the tires are still tube tires. This truck appears to be mostly original and has spent at least the latest 1/3 of its life in inside storage. Almost all parts are available to restore these trucks, and wish we had the time and space to finish it. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have, I will be checking regularly.
