A very rare Mercedes Gelandewagen or G-Wagon. For sale is my weekend vehicle that I occassionally use as my daily driver. The original owner was the Federal West German Police, which explains the gun racks on the interior door panels and above the rear bench seat, as well as the flag stand and screws along the windows on the exterior for the riot gear. Guages work perfectly. Tape player kicks the cassettes back out but the radio works.Also, the tan/beige interior is typical government color and the black thick vinyl seats which are still hard and supportive instead of the funky plaid material on the civilian versions. The seats are in great condition.Imported to the U.S. in 2005. All original except for the updated Mercedes civial aluminum wheels. All guages work.This truck would be for the "purist" as it is without power windows and air conditioning. However, I drive this truck frequently (even during the Summer months) and it could certainly be used as a daily driver.The truck drives and starts great and drives straight, totally dependable. Prior government ownership assures that it was well maintained throughout its life. Miles (in KM) are believed to be original as the pedals have little wear on them compared to others I have noticed. No pulling to the side, etc. This truck is one of the most capable 4 x 4 vehicles ever produced. It does not appear that this truck has ever been taken off road. The 4 wheel drive and rear locking differential all work as expected.All fluids were replaced approximately 6,000 miles ago.Clutch / Brakes are good. Car was registered in CA prior to NC and always passed smog. It is exactly how it sat in Europe. NO MODIFICATIONS were made nor need to be made due to the age, therefore requiring no additional modifications for DOT.Jack is included (which is located inside the engine compartment)Original owners manual is included (which is in German)A few extra parts are included i.e air filter (cost 52EUR)Paypal deposit of $500 desired 48 hours after end of auction.
