Vehicle Detail

This car is a survivor. It's been maintained as a driver but has never been restored. It runs and drives excellent and is ready to go. It's powered by the venerable Mopar slant six and has a three speed manual transmission. It has manual steering and brakes. The car was sold new in Seattle Washington in January of 1960 and I have the original sales invoice from S.L Savidge Dodge and Plymouth. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt, rebuilt the front suspension and replaced the exhaust system. I've owned the car for a little over a year and have done the following: New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and had the transmission serviced. The car has all new wheel cylinders and brake shoes. It has new rear axle bearings and seals. All new heater hoses and radiator hoses, new water pump, new battery, new fuel tank sending unit and a rebuilt generator. It also has new seat covers and carpeting installed. The headliner is intact but is deteriorating and has splits and tears, the sun visors will need replacing as well. The body and paint are original. It is a 50 year old car and has a number of dings and scratches from it's many years of faithful service. The worst being dents just ahead of the rear bumper ends on each side (see photos). All the chrome and stainless is original as well. All the glass is good, there are no chips or cracks and all the windows work as they should. The wipers, heater and defroster, lights, signals and gauges all work. The radio does not work (no speaker) the horn doesn't work either. The car is very solid and has very few rust issues. The front floor has been repaired in the past ( a good job) but the car also comes with new front floor pans, I just didn't see the need to have them installed. The trunk is solid with no holes. The wheels are after market, I do not have the original wheels. The tires are fine and I have a car cover for it that goes with the sale. I have an owners manual and shop manual that will also go with the car. Since it's a 50 year old vehicle, it's sold "as-is"-"where is", and what you see is what you get. The photos were taken on October 12th 2010. The title is clear. It has original Washington state year of manufacture license plates on it. This is a good solid original car, it's never been cut up or trashed. If you'd like to see any specific photos of something, email me and I can send them. A non refundable 200 deposit must be made within 24 hours of the auction closing and the car must be paid for in full within 7 days of auction ending. Shipping is at the buyers expense. I've sold several cars on Ebay and if you're trying to scam me..... please don't waste either of our time, I'm asking less than I have invested in the car, but I just don't use it and hate to see it sit as much as it does. Thanks for looking!
