Local consignment for a gentleman that lost his job and has to move out of the area for employment.....SELLING WITH NO RESERVE....HIGH BID WINS AT THE END!! 1977 GMC 2500 series 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup truck with a 350-V8, Automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, rear step bumper, factory heavy duty upgraded suspension, bedliner, lockout hubs, etc.......Cool old 4x4 truck!! *********Truck has current 04/11 PA state Inspections!! Tires are fair with about 35-40% tread left on fronts and only about 20% on rears....still decent but should have better ones for snow. Interior is just plain and fair with normal wear and fading typical of a 33 year old work truck. Cracks in dash pad, tears in rubber flooring, faded door panels, etc..... Seat has tears but has a new seat cover. Very comfortable and functional inside but nothing fancy or exceptional. Body is good/solid shape overall. Some dents in drivers front fender, rear tailgate is dented and has broken latch/handle....hard to open and some minor dings here and there but not rusty at all and has alot of newer sheet metal. Solid metal all around with good rockers, doors, cab corners, bed, wheel wells, etc.....Hood is good but has a cowl hood scoop added to it. Solid underneath as well with good floors, cab mounts and solid frame/spring hangers. Solid truck overall folks and looks good, solid and straight! One of the better 77's I've seen in a long, long time!! Not perfect and not a show truck....just a nice daily driven work truck with alot of potential for an easy re-do or build up! Paint looks fair overall with some wear, scratches, chips and blemishes typical of age/use but has a very nice appearance overall! Originally bought/owned by a College/University and used as a grounds/maintenace truck. Then purchased by an individual in 2009 and had the following work done in 2009.......This is all work done by previous owner as I was told by him: Rebuilt engine...sent out and built by machine shop...nothing elaborate but slightly bored, all new heads, intake, pistons, crank, cam, lifters, high volume oil pump, etc.....over $2800 in engine and less than 10,000 miles on it since done. Also had dual exhaust, headers, new Holley carb., radiator, all new brake lines, front and rear axles (ring and pinion gears) rebuilt and had 4.11 gears installed, new fuel tank, fuel pump, Billet grille, etc.......He also took time to wire brush frame and paint/seal the underneath to prevent future rust and give added protection. Looks nice and all black underneath. He also stated that the University he purchased it from had all new sheet metal (fenders, inner wheel wells, rockers, doors) and cab mounts replaced and then re-painted about 4-5 years before he bought it and also had the transmission rebuilt about 2 years before he bought it. That is everything I was told and I have noticed most of that work done but there are no receipts or documentation for that work....just so you know. Truck starts up and runs good. It is not fuel injected so it takes 2-3 minutes for it to warm up and run/idle smooth but she is a super strong runner!! No engine noise or smoke and sounds great....very strong and powerful engine. Transmission shifts great and the 4x4 works properly. I did notice that the front u-joints are showing some wear and do clunk some when in 4-wheel drive but there are all new U-joints included with this truck....you just need to install them. I also have new emergency brake cables (needs these for e-brake to work) and rear brake shoes (just extras that came with truck) for this truck....all included with the sale. Truck runs, drives and works very strong!! Geared low for pulling/towing or playing! I see no problems driving this truck and using it, no known problems found to keep it from being a daily driver/everyday work truck or what a great truck to build up into a monster! Good and solid overall, heavy duty running gear and driveline. Drives and handles down the roads excellently....great for a 33 year old truck in fact.....REALLY NICE RUNNER and DRIVER!!!
