Original Camper Features: Sink w/ Fresh Water Tank, Ice Box/Cooler, Large two piece folding/swinging table, Cabinets are in excellent condition, interior and exterior laminate is completeRear Bug Screen, Privacy Curtains (original), Dual Power: Battery (new large size) and City Upper Bunk and Lower Fold-Down Bed (each sleep 2), Original child’s Cot Added Values: Front seats replaced with seats from 1989 Vanagon, we still have the original ones in very good shape and extra original fabric. We keep all replaced original items. New MP3-CD player, new speakers. New used engine was installed last year in fall (might need final tune up), we still keep the original one 2000cc fuel injected with solid lifters for parts if needed. Brand new Battery, The Car was Rust proofed with special oil shield. Every cavity was spray with oil, done in 2009 fall.Cabinetry is excellent and upholstery is OEM original. All interior and exterior lights and horn work properly. Lots of extra spare parts collected over the years (just in a case) Recent Mechanical Work: Valves adjusted, new valve cover gaskets, oil change, and tune-up, new fuel lines, new top-quality OEM front and rear brakes, all new wheel bearings The CAR drives (see the recent pics w/100km/h) and stops straight with no problem, has four new German shocks, and new correct type Michelin Tires. Most mechanical work was performed by European Auto Garage in Ottawa. Body / Systems:THERE IS NO RUST ON THE CAR’s BODY. GUARANTEED!!!!!New paint in original Classic Orange Color with work performed by Art’s Body Shop (since 1976), an experienced Ottawa-based classic VW craftsman. All windows and fixtures were removed, old paint stripped, new rocker panels, and almost all rubber was replaced. Custom made pop-top canvas, Original carpeting, Original keys for all external locks plus (very rare) key lock for the engine door. The Car needs TLC and good knowledgeable air cooled mechanic to keep it driving. This is a 33-year old vehicle, it is beautiful and reliable. Out-of-town and overseas buyers are encouraged to bid, and I may be able to facilitate an airport pick-up. There will be no surprises when you come to drive it away. I would be confident to drive this camper across the country and, as you can see, I have done it. I may be able to assist with delivery or shipping.
