Vehicle Detail

EDIT!......THIS IS THE LOWEST PRICE SHE WILL SELL FOR. We've listed this car several times and had offers, come down on the price over and over again. This is bottom dollar. She paid more for the car in worse shape than it is now. Please don't ask if she will take less. This is it. First bid takes it home. Good luck! This car is a project my mother purchased several years ago. A mechanic friend got it in running order and it has since sat in a storage shed for two years. If I had a rough estimate I'd say that it was about 60 percent restored but still needs some work. Hopefully the pictures will tell the story. The car runs and we honestly do not know if the mileage on the odometer is correct or not. We have little past knowledge of the car and it just needs to go to a good home where someone knows more about these little guys than we do. The car does run and drive. We cleaned it up and took it for a drive around town the other day. Put 25 miles on it and it did fine. It's very warm in the cabin, but the guages all read fine and the radiator fan was functioning. Brand new battery comes with it. We know that it's common for people to upgrade the intake manifold and carb on these cars and that has been done to this one as well. Brand new tires, less than 100 miles on them. The rest is in the pictures. TON'S of extra parts although we do not know the working condition of them. Has an extra "weather top" that's shown in the pictures. Covers the interior and goes over the seats in case of inclement weather. Listed below are the parts that we could verify the best we knew how. 2 front wheel seals 2 rear wheel seals 2 rear wheel bearings 3rd member bearings Assorted lug nuts and studs Manifold clamps Fuel filter Fuel pressure regulator Exhaust manifold heat shield 2 spare wipers Bushings Starter solenoid Fuel tank sending unit Door latches Seatbelts Spare tire cover Boot cover Front crank seal & speedy sleeve Ignition switch 2 wheel cylinders Differential bearings Lighter socket Transmission input shaft bearing Braided hose and fittings Stock intake manifold Set of wheel center caps Leaf spring bushings Timing cover gasket NIP Stock emissions parts Sway bar/stabilizer bushings Antenna mount and cable Tonneau cover Complete Official Spitfire Workshop manual and driver's handbook Complete front and rear bumpers and an extra set of 4 wheels. Like I said prior, I'm not sure of the condition of any of these parts, but I'm happy to answer questions to whatever I can help with. First bid takes it and is responsible for transport. I ran it up to 50 mph and was comfortable, but I would not feel safe letting someone drive it for long distances so it needs to be transported. The only glaring problem that needs immediate attention is the throwout bearing. It growls when it's in neutral sometimes. Probably means the clutch is due as well. I'm sure you'll find other things that need fixed once you dive into this car, but we really don't have the backround. It's a solid little project for someone that loves these cars. SOLD AS IS.
