Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 Ford F150 Flare side 4WD 1992 special Rocky Mountain Edition I am selling my unique F150. I am the sole owner of this truck, I bought it new in 1992 from Phil Long Ford in Denver, Colorado. It was a special edition, I bought it off the showroom floor. It has 122,000 miles on it. The pictures were taken today. The truck is not as perfect as the pictures make it look, there are dings and scrapes here and there, but from 10 feet away she still looks like new. It has the 5.0 liter V-8 and automatic transmission with overdrive. Ford called this color Iris, some call it pink, others say purple. The paint is original; this truck has never been in an accident. The interior is a gray cloth in great shape. It has a bench seat that seats three. This was a loaded truck so it has all the power accessories, windows, doors, mirrors, cruise control, tilt wheel, air conditioning, etc. It has a factory towing package, which I used a few times to pull a light snowmobile trailer. Other than that this truck has never towed anything. It has manual locking hubs for the 4 wheel drive, which I like because you know they are unlocked when you release them. The tires have less than 15,000 miles on them, they are Goodyear Wranglers and I have a full size spare which I rotate in so you can expect at least another 40K out of these tires. I just replaced the windshield as the old one had a small crack. I put on new rear brakes last Fall, replaced the drums, shoes, cylinders and all hardware. I also put new pads on the front. Installed new rear shocks at the same time and replaced the muffler and tailpipe. Replaced the fuel tank a few years ago. Someone stole the stereo a few years back and tore up the dash a bit in the process. I installed a very nice Alpine CD player last year and put a good set of Boston Acoustic Speakers in the rear when the factory ones started breaking up. The bad – The bed is scratched and dinged, has some surface rust. If I was keeping this truck I would prep and prime the rust spots and have a spray in bed liner done. The front brakes need the rotors turned or replaced next time you do the brakes. The transmission is weeping fluid from a seal. Not pouring out, but somewhere down the road you will need to fix that. It is 18 years old! I had the tranny serviced a couple years back and the guy who did the work said it was in great shape. Why am I selling “Pinkie” (as my daughter dubbed her)? I just bought a new F150 with a crew cab. The worst thing I could do with Pinkie is let her sit a lot of the time and with three other vehicles she just won’t get driven. She has a lot of miles left in her and I would rather see someone drive her than let her sit and rot. It would be really nice to see her go to a collector, this truck is only 7 years from antique status. I drove it from Denver to New York and back in January, so obviously I trust it to go anywhere. I might be willing to deliver it for my expenses depending on where you are. If you have any questions please email. If you include a phone number I will be glad to give you a call. I do have the truck listed locally, if you are seriously interested email me and let’s see if we can make a deal.
