Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is this extremely rare TRUE 1970 Challenger R/T 383 big block 3 speed manual transmission coupe. One of only 355 ever made! Currently the car has a non running but mostly complete 1971 non HP 383 in it. As far as I can tell it has the original rear end and 3 speed transmission. It has matching #'s VIN dash tag, fender tag, door tag, cowl #'s, and core support #'s! She wears brand new radials and has 5 original rallys with original trim rings and caps with NOS lug nuts (all are now rh thread). She has been repainted once and has been in western CO (dry!) since at least 1988. She currently has an incorrect B body shifter (yep they cut a hole in the tranny tunnel) but I have the correct complete shifter, linkage, etc, for it. It was an EB5 bright blue metallic white vinyl top and blue interior car and it still shows original paint in the trunk and floor pans. It still has its original upholstery and top (both trashed). I have not located a build sheet but it might be in the original seats. It has a new flip open gas cap, and it has a beautiful original console (though this car didn't come with one), a good useable dash core, drivers window, a correct dual snorkel air cleaner, original matched hipo exhaust manifolds, and various interior parts. It will need a lower grille pan, radiator, rear valance, horns, windshield, and left fender (maybe). Lets talk rust since that's what everyone seems to freak out over. Yes it has rust in the rear wheel lip/outer wheel house both sides as shown. The rust does not go above the body line. The left fender was replaced at some point and is rusted through on the top front. I can't tell for sure about the rear window area but since they were prone to it, I would figure there might be some there but I can't see it. That's it period. Doors, rockers, frame rails, cowl, deck lip, pans are all beautiful. I have 50 pics if needed. Call (970) 712-2738 Barry for questions or tons of pics. This vehicle was inspected by the Delta County Sheriffs Office in Delta, CO and run through the DMV system in Denver, CO to be sure it was clear of liens, not stolen, etc. Check my feedback! This will be a gorgeous car, super rare, and a fairly easy restoration all things considered! Don't miss this one and only chance at one of the most desirable muscle cars in the world ~ the 1970 Dodge E Body big block! THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION - HIGH BIDDER WINS ONCE AN OPENING BID IS MADE!!!!!!! FIRST TIME OFFERED FOR SALE PUBLICLY SINCE 1988!!
