THIS CAR IS LISTED LOCALLY AND I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION EARLY. Here is a 1971 Mustang Mach 1…ONE OWNER…CALIFORNIA CAR…. I bought the car from the daughter of the original owner after his passing. I’ve owned this car since 2007 and have put all of 575 miles on it. I was transferred all over the country with my work and this car was shipped with me…..California to Florida to Indiana. The car has done nothing but attend CAR SHOWS and CRUISE-INS…..but the car is not perfect. The body is rock solid, It drives great and everything works, it still wears 80% of it’s original paint (It has been touched up), NO BONDO (It wears the original parking lot dings from when his wife drove it (that’s what I was told)……I still have the original California plates it wore until me and I have the original dealer frame from NORTH HOLLYWOOD which is now STUDIO CITY. What does it need……the drivers seat need attention and the drivers door panel needs attention ((NO ONE SAT IN THE OTHER SEATS until my family))…..It also needs a HEADLINER. And a carpet ( I have the carpet). I have extra parts that are simply extra…..I will throw in. I have a regular hood (( THE CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL NASA HOOD ON IT and IT'S IN GREAT SHAPE)) I have a new carpet ((CARPET IS ONLY WORN ON THE DRIVERS SIDE)) I have a new dome light I have both door handles (I picked these up because I heard they break and these were FORD OEM….correct year. I have a brand new fuel tank (I again picked this up for the future and because it was a correct part) I also have a headliner (that I will give you if I can find the box) I have original dealer MUSTANG floor mats…..Dealer item…..used but correct. I have an extra 1971 AM RADIO that works better than the original one in the car. THE CAR ---- It’s a real 1971 Mustang MACH 1….not some fake….NUMBERS MATCHING….NEVER MODIFIED….SURVIVOR. NASA HOOD ORIGINAL GAS CAP…POP OPEN STYLE. 351 Cleveland with a 2 barrel Automatic FMX Full gauge package…TACH and Center gauges…all stock…all work. AM RADIO NO!!!! AC…..and it was always a SOUTHERN CALI CAR. It also came….with these ((DELETE CODES)) HOOD PIN, FRONT SPOILER, REAR WING, and a CHROME FRONT BUMPER….NOT MANY WERE ORDERED LIKE THIS and WHY WOULD YOU….it’s rare I’m sure. I really don’t want to sell but…..I need the cash…..and sitting out in my drive is a 1971 Torino GT from my High School days and I want to get it in the garage and get it restored. So here is your chance to buy a car from a guy that has been asked many times and has said, “IT WILL NEVER BE FOR SALE.”. My camera is broke so I will get new pics on at a later date…soon. On Oct-02-10 at 17:21:16 PDT, seller added the following information: THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED......THE CHROME BUMPER ON THE FRONT IS THE ONE THAT CAME ON THE CAR. I received a message questioning the front bumper...I assure you no major accidents or repairs have ever been done to this car. You can tell the car is unrestored and original just by looking it over in person. NOTE --- Yes, it was possible to order the chrome bumper on the Mach 1 in 1971 if you knew how to order the car. I have done the homework and this car has been to major shows and has had many EXPERTS look it over and they were all amazed at how original it was...these were the same people that wanted to buy the car over the years...I of course never dreamed I'd sell it so I didn't keep any phone numbers. ALSO IN THE EVENT SOMEONE MIGHT REMEMBER THE CAR....IT WAS THE ONLY 1971 MUSTANG MACH 1 AT CHERRIES JUBILEE in MONTEREY, CA. IT WAS ALSO AT THE DAYTONA, FL SHOWS...and it was the same original MUSTANG at the TURKEY RUN and the after the show ---- show. I still have the 2009 Florida Antique plates on it....and it has a FLORIDA TITLE.
