I bought this truck this week with a non working transmission. I am not certain the extent of transmission damage but when the truck is running, I hear a constant clicking sound from the front of the transmission. Prior owner told me he had just fixed the transmission at a price of $2900.00 but it only lasted a month before going out again. I suspect torque convertor went out based on where the noise is coming from. I put the truck in any gear and zero movement or transmission engagement. I was hoping it would be an easy fix like low fluid but the truck is going to need tranny work and I do not feel like doing it. Besides the transmission the motor runs good, body has rust, frame is sound, tires good. Truck has a Banks intake, Meyers easy off snow plow, and larger tires. I know a lot of folks I sell to are concerned about potential scams regarding online transactions. Exterior: I feel the truck is in good condition, please look at photos and video to be your own judge. Body does have rust spots, was used as a plow truck for 3 years. The past two years it sat after the transmission went out and owner was unable to afford to fix it a second time. It sat on a gravel lot. Brake lines would need replaced, all four tires spin freely. When I bought the truck I put the transfer case in neutral and pulled the truck down the interstate with a tow bar for 15 miles with no issues. Meyers snow plow has hydraulic pump that does up, left, and right rotation for the blade. I do not have the controller, only the front end equipment. Tail gate only has one safety cable. Drivetrain: This truck is powered by a Cummins 5.9 turbo diesel. Automatic transmission with overdrive; not working as mentioned above. Transfer case works in 2 high, 4 high, 4 low, and neutral. Truck will need new batteries, engine oil is clean with no water contamination. Engine shutoff solenoid needs replaced but I have it bypassed to show motor runs. The truck has a banks intake, stock injection pump that has not been modified, and good turbo. Interior: The interior is fair condition. Carpet is vacuumed but dirty. Seats are used. Has cd player but I can't get the radio to play. Gauges on dash seem to work fine, I obviously can't check the speedometer or odometer with the transmission broken. Has power windows and locks. Truck has trailer brake controller and what I believe to be a salt spreader controller mounted under the steering column. All and all a great truck that needs transmission work.
