1970 VW Beetle Convertible - For your consideration, is a locally owned 1970 VW with 104,000 original documented miles. This 40 year old VW has been well cared for since new. I am the third owner. It has a clean title with actual mileage documentation. The engine is a 1600 single port, which I believe is original to the car. It has a documented rebuild at 96,500 miles. It has had a recent tune-up and runs Very Strong. Mechanically the car is Very sound. New items include a new complete brake system including the master cylinder and lines, shocks, tires including the spare, battery, Tri-Mil ceramic coated exhaust, and heater boxes. I will include an extra set of steel rims, center caps and a tow bar. The body is very solid with NO rust issues. It has had only one repaint in 40 years and sprayed in the original color of Clementine Orange. After 30 years, it still retains the original shine. This car has been garaged most of its life. It does have normal chips from pleasure driving. It also has the original glass. Underneath, the pan is very solid with no issues. Sometime in the early 1980's, a patch was installed in the battery tray area (common) and the passenger side front floor. Both places continue to be solid. The interior is completely original including the top, headliner and boot, which is RARE ! This is more proof that this car was garaged most all of its life. The drivers seat has wear as well as the floor mat. This car is fun to drive and turns heads everywhere we go. TIME (to enjoy) is the ONLY reason I am selling.
