I bought this truck back in April with the cummins already installed. I drove out to New Hampshire and brought it back. Took me about a month to get it highway worthy and since then I have been driving it everywhere pulling smaller camping trailers. With an average fuel mileage of 25mpg it really saves a lot of money over driving my bigger diesel. It has a lot of new components that will be described below but this is definately a turn key truck, get in and drive it home. The only reason I am selling this truck is I just bought a 4 cylinder flat bed Isuzu which will allow me to double my loads with both a useable flat bed and a hitch. Again, I would truck this truck to go anywhere. Please ignore the shiney effect the rain makes on my truck, its a flatter color when dry. The title for this truck is clear and in my name. I know a lot of folks I sell to are concerned about potential scams regarding online transactions. Exterior: The exterior of this truck is done by choice. I planned to make it a gmc cloned truck but never finished the front end with turn lenses and black primer. All lights work, frame has no structural issues, tires great condition. I pieced together several trucks to make this truck how I wanted it. Photos describe the exterior best. Drivetrain: This truck is powered by a Cummins 3.9 turbo diesel. Its been rebuilt at some point and has the data tag riveted to the front of engine bay to show this. I replaced all 4 injectors 3 weeks ago. I also took the injection pump off and replaced the front seal. Newer battery, fresh oil change. I use this truck to run the interstate and it get a real 25 mpg average. Transmission is 4 speed overdrive, it shifts fine but likes to stay in over drive once shifted so I run the column shifter manually when driving slower than desired for overdrive. The transmission dip stick does leak oil and needs topped off every couple hundred miles. All u joints have been replaced, also the carrier bearing. I had to run new brake lines for the back brakes and put a new master cylinder on. Tires are great shape, I run a little meater tire in rear than front for traction as the truck is only 2 wheel drive. The exhaust is functional. The large 80 gallon fuel tank in bed is the trucks fuel tank. I have the original tank if winning bidder wants more bed space. The lift pump in new, as are all fuel lines. I also replaced the fuel filter and serpentine belt. This truck has power steering and a vacuum pump. When you first start or turn off the truck you will hear a series of clicking sounds, its the flapper door in the heater vent. The truck doesn't have a vacuum resevoir so until the vacuum pump builds enough suction the door clicks against its seal. Interior: The interior follows the exteriors theme of miss matched parts. The glove box is off a 1988 Chevy, doors off a 90 chevy as I wanted crank windows rather than the troublesome power windows. Gauges on the dash that do work are speedometer and odometer. I installed oil pressure, water temp, and volt gauges to make sure the vitals are kept track of. Radio works. Has a/c but the compressor froze on me so I had to weld in a by pass pulley to keep truck on road. If buyer wants ac, they can saw zall off my pulley and install a new compressor with the existing bracket still on the engine. Head liner held up wiht screws, has back seat that completely folds up for storage. The truck has no keys, you simply turn the ignition switch and go. Carpet is stained on drivers side, could be covered by new floor mats. All and all a great and extremely dependable truck with a bullet proof motor. Thanks for reading my auction. Chad McKinney
