Vehicle Detail

This is a very rare Chevy Fleetline Aero Sedan. First production year after World War II. It has just about all of the options I think you could get in 1946. Check out all of the stainless steel trim this car has. I was told it has the "Super Deluxe" level trim package. Also has the flip down center bumper guard on the rear bumper and the sun visor. From the condition of the body, and from what I was told, I believe the low mileage to be correct. It sat in a garage for over 30 years with a stuck engine. There is no rust anywhere and there are no signs of rust repair. Original floor pans, trunk pan, frame / body mounts, rockers, etc. The paint is mostly original. ( looks better in the pics than it is and Note: The one pic from the rear makes it look like there is a big rust spot on the trunk. There is not one. This is from a glare on my camera lense ). The body still has every minor ding sustained from 1946 until now. The price reflects that the body and the paint is original. GREAT PATINA !!!. The chrome and stainless is still all very presentable. The glass is all good. The front end is modified stock. Rebuilt shocks, new dual front springs and sway bar, disc brakes. The rear end is 1967 Chevy Nova Corporate 10 bolt with all new seals, bearings, brakes, etc. 3.73 Gears. The rear springs and mounts and shocks are all new from Chassis Engineering. Rides like a new 1946 Chevy should or maybe better. Wheels are new American Racing Torque Thrust D's. 15x5 on front and 16x9 on the rear. Tires are new Diamond back reproduction wide white walls. Wheels and tires alone were over $2200.00. The engine is a 1967 283 that has been totally rebuilt to a little higher horse power. Has a new Edelbrock dual quad set up with new 500 cfm carbs. Progressive linkage. Jet coated headers and all new custom, galvanized, exhaust. ( Note: In the pics it looks like it has single into dual exhaust, but that is optical illusion. It is truly dual exhaust. At the cross member, one pipe goes under it and the other over it for clearance purposes, and there is a cross over pipe in the same vicinity.) Rebuilt 350 turbo with 2200 stahl converter and Lokar shifter. The seats have been rebuilt but have low budget seat covers on them at this time to protect the padding material until the final seat covers can be installed. ( You get to chose your color ) Needs headliner, door panels, carpet, etc. to complete the interior. Again, the price reflects the lack of interior, and the good news is you get to pick out your own design and colors. Painless wiring kit. All lights and gages work including gas gage. The hood has been louvered. The car runs out real fine. It has made the trip to the Hunnert Car Pile Up twice over the last 2 years with no issues. Runs very cool ( 180 degrees ) with a 4 core radiator and it has a back up electric fan for idling around on a hot day. This car sits right and drives right. It is NOT a trailer queen by no long shot. Just a very cool old hot rod that was put together right. Could be a rat rod with minimal changes or a custom street rod with body, paint, and interior work. You get to decide. Now for the business end. I really did not want to sell this car but I have to sell 2 vehicles before winter sets in. The two I want to sell are on my other listings. The car does not leave here until and any check clears my bank. This can take up to 7 business days. If you have zero or minimal account activity, or a rating below 98%, you better call first or I may cancel your bid. E-mail me with your full name and phone number if you want to talk about it or have questions. Or, you can e-mail me with questions. Either way, you will get honest answers to all questions. Do this BEFORE you bid. I encourage you, or a representative, to come by and drive it. Again, BEFORE you bid. I do not want any misunderstandings. NO TRADES Thanks, Dave
