This is a 1984 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel. It runs great, and the body looks great for its age, however it is rusting underneath, and WILL BE a problem soon for inspection. It is currently drivable, and inspected until the end of September 2010. The reason I am selling is because I am not mechanically inclined enough to work on the rust myself, and don't want to pay for a shop to do the work. As this is a 26 year old vehicle, it shows its age. Not all the windows work (new switches @ $40/each would take care of that), odometer stopped working this past year, although not many miles have been put on it since. There are some interior dashboard bits broken and missing, and the stereo doesn't work. Other than the rust on the bottom, there are a few VERY MINOR rust spots on the body. Overall the body is in really good shape. The good news is that the engine is strong and would be fantastic for parts or whatever. It ALWAYS starts right up. Tires and brakes are in good shape. The body looks great and would be a great candidate to refurb your existing vehicle. It has an electronic sunroof that works great. All lights, controls, etc. work fine. Heck, you could part out this vehicle and do well selling parts. This vehicle is being sold as-is, no warranty, for parts or repair.
