THIS IS A GREY MARKET MERCEDES!!! Originally made for the European market. It has a EUROPEAN VIN!!!!! WDB12604412003126. This is a very rare car, a 1983 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC. Mercedes started to import these SEC's in 1984-1985, but the original owner had this one brought over legally in 1983 (original 1983 import sticker from Stuttgart still in the door jamb). I have a clean NYS title. Car is registered and insured. This model has an all aluminum engine as well as an aluminum hood and trunk to lower the center of gravity. The body doesn't have any rust I can find (that is why I bought it!). All of the windows work fine and the sunroof opens and closes with no problems. Has power locks as well as a power antenna. Starts, runs and drives and shifts fine. This is a rare model, NADA.com lists the value from a low of $12,800 to a high of $22,000. This one is offered here with NO RESERVE!!! Needs some minor trim on it which I bought but didn't install yet, as well as some minor TLC. The brakes and rotors have less then 5,000 miles on them. All 4 tires are matching and in good shape. Has 141,300 miles. Interior is the European cloth (small rip in one seat). The top of the back seats are a little torn from the sun. You can drive this car everyday. Also has a Jenson remote control radio and 10 CD changer in the trunk. Call Andy for more details.
