Well the time has come that I must part with my beloved Jetta. I have two children and it is just too tight in this thing! Those of you out there that know these MK3's know how coveted they are in the vw community. This is a 1998 Jetta TDI with the 5 speed transmission. This car is running stock power train. There is no chip on it nor has there ever been one. I have done all the other mods myself. The car is very tight and drives very well. If you are at all interested in buying this car I would urge you if at all possible to come drive it before you buy. having said that I know that not all of you will be able to do so. I have been working on VW diesels for close to 5 years now as a hobbie and I have ran many vw's including newer ones that did not compare with how nice this one drives. Below I have listed what has been done to the car as well as what needs done. -Current inspection until 12/2010 -Timing belt service done at 240,000 -New Nitto Neo-Gen 205/40/zr17 tires with about 2000 miles on them -Long beach VW wheels -4 lug to 5 lug H&R adapters -Complete brand new H&R suspension (lowered it about 1.5 inches but maintains close to stock ride comfort ) -New badge-less grill ordered and painted by TMTUNING.COM -Smoked turn signal lights (with fog lights that are not hooked up) -E-code headlights -red and clear tail lights -Dual tail pipes (with eliminated cat) -Shaved emblems -Both front drive axles replaced at 264k -New starter at 264,500 While this car is very nice it is not perfect, after all it is 10 yrs old with 265k on it. The paint shines up very nice but it is chipped up pretty bad on the front fenders and hood. Also as you will see in the photos there is a small dent in the hood above the left headlight. This thanks to me hitting a deer a while ago. It only did a small dent because I was only going about 25 mph. The wheels on the drivers side are scuffed up pretty bad due to me riding against the concrete highway dividers one night. The other two wheels are not perfect but they are very nice with only minor scratches. Also as you will notice in the pics, there is a little bit of surface rust at the front of both rear wheels. I have the title and it is clear and free of any liens. If you have any more questions or need more pics you can call or email me.
