Vehicle Detail
Looking for an SUV with style? Something that stands out from the crowd? If you're reading this, you know that the Grand Wagoneer is the "Original" SUV. This is the brand that started it all -- the one that others tried to imitate in the 1980's. Still wearing its Ft. Worth dealer plate, this classic Grand Wagoneer spent its life in Texas and Colorado (a previous owner used it at his vacation home in Aspen). It is rust-free -- not riddled with rust like so many others that were owned back East. Only 64,300 miles! This is an unrestored Grand Wagoneer in original condition. The list of features is extensive: air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, power front seats, power mirrors, power rear window, cruise control, leather seats and class III hitch. It runs and drives strong, stops and turns well -- perfect for city driving or highway cruising. Shifts easily between 2WD and 4WD Engine and transmission are clean and tight -- no squeaks or rattles, no leaks or puddles (wish I could say the same for my Lexus RX330!). This SUV has the usual Grand Wagoneer issues (clearcoat is faded on the roof and hood, headliner sags in places). The driver's front seat is torn and has been patched (see picture); however, the other seats are in very good condition. The woodgrain has some scratches and dings (as does the paint). Power locks work but are "tired". Power rear window works using the dash switch (but not the key-operated tailgate switch). There is an aftermarket radio. The fog lights are missing (removed some time before I purchased it). I have a clear title and the original owners manual. I've tried to describe this Grand Wagoneer as clearly as possible -- as you can see, it's a clean car with some needs. Have a look at the photos and feel free to contact me with any questions you have. My reserve is reasonable and consistent with the original condition of the vehicle. It's certainly no show car -- but that's not why we buy an SUV like this, is it? The Grand Wagoneer is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this listing early. Good luck bidding!
