“THIS TRUCK DRIVES AND RUNS JUST LIKE YOU WOULD WANT IT TO” This listing is for a 1969 Dodge D-100 pick-up truck (Clear title). It is a custom model with a 318-V8, 3-speed on the column. This truck belonged to my Grandfather who was the original owner....YES...ONE OWNER!!! I was two years old when Grandpa bought this truck BRAND NEW in 1970. I can remember placing the “cherry bomb” sticker on the back bumper. You will probably also notice that there is a “AAA” sticker as well (not my doing..lol). I am pretty sure they will come off with some sort of adhesive remover. By the way, both bumpers are chromed and straight. In fact, everything about this truck is straight. There may be a little nick here or there but the body is straight. It is amazing how good of shape it is in. I think one would be amazed at what a mid-priced auto-detail could do for this truck. I bet the paint would come back to life. My Grandfather passed away about a year ago. This truck was his pride and joy. Although it was not his primary vehicle, he did start it and drive it about once a week. Grandpa loved to drive it and he took very good care of this truck. It really shows. This truck drives and runs just like you would want it to. The tuck has very low miles (79,719.8 Actual Miles). It is a three speed on the column. It has always had a camper shell on it so the bed is in very good shape. We took the shell off to take the photos as I think it looks best without. I can’t find any rust on the truck, inside or out (with the exception of minor surface rust in a couple of places). Obviously a truck of this age would not be faulted for a few rusted through areas but I don't see any areas where this is the case. The outside is just as solid as the inside and although it is around forty years old, it just doesn’t look or feel like it. It is manual everything……What I mean is it has NO power windows, NO power steering and NO power locks. All of the glass is good and the windows roll up and down just as they were designed. I hate to see the truck change hands as it has been in the family since new but none of the family members have room for it and we are soon to sell the house where it is parked (in the garage). The motor (318 V8) is very strong and it fires right up. IT SOUNDS AWESOME! It must have glass packs as it is very throaty… I can remember driving the truck as a teenager and I loved the way it sounded then and now. Recently I pulled it out and we drove it to the back of the field to take these photos. It is ready to drive down the road! ATTENTION: Upon start up, the truck smokes just a little for about 5 or so seconds and then it clears up. Other than that, I don’t know what else to mention as the photos should cover the rest.
