Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon with 122k three owner miles. Click button above to view the history report free. Florida car most of its life with no body rust and a beautifully solid underside. Power provided by the multiport fuel injected 5.7L (350 cubic inch) LT1 Chevy Corvette-based V8 and 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission - lots of power. Tow package equipped with 2.93 limited slip rear gears. Loaded up with lots of power goodies. I had this car trucked to me in NY at 114k miles, and drove it from NY to WA the "long way" through the Rockies, without a hitch. I averaged 23.05 MPG though loaded with me and half a ton of my stuff and climbing wicked grades and cruise set at 75 most of the way - easily gets 24 under less severe conditions. This is the 986th full size GM 91-96 wagon I owned, and 988 is in the garage (a 30k mile Limited) and 989 will be here this week, so one must go. This is also the 14th black '96 woody I've owned (8 had burgundy interior, only 4 had tan.) so it's relatively rare, but not unheard of. NO RESERVE. Questions? I have a few more pics of the car showing a couple of the very minor nicks mentioned in description. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing, ticking or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature and there's no check engine light. Newer battery & good charging system. Recent oil change. Runs smooth & strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs flawlessly. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all four forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors or noticeable leaks. Recently rebuilt - have receipt. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in very good shape with no body rust or major dings, only evidence of collision is a repainted hood - not even fenders have been repainted, so very minor. Has a tiny ding on top of the left front fender, and one near the Roadmaster emblem on the right rear quarterpanel, both visible if you contort yourself into position to see them. A minor ding is more obvious at the bottom of the right front door, but really only noticeable if crouched to see it. Above average. Paint/Wood: Paint is shiny and nice with a couple very small scratches consistent with age and miles. Above average, too. Wood trim is in nice shape with a little peeling on the front corner lamp pieces as is typical. Side panel applique is in very good shape with a couple minor nicks & scratches. Other: Plastic bumpers are in good shape - front has no cracks or gouges and NO bumps in the stainless trim! Rear has a few scuffs. Stainless side trim is nice with a couple small dings, and all the rubber molding is present. Undercarriage is southern solid with no salt scale - see the pics. Door jambs, tailgate sill, and underhood sheet metal have NO rust blisters in these hidden areas as seen in pics. Solid frame all around. Glass is all good with a small rock chip in the windshield. Aluminum wheels are in great shape with no curb rash or pitting but a few scratches. INTERIOR: The interior is in nice shape with minor wear. Carpets, dash, headliner & door panels are in very nice condition. Leather seats are in nice shape with normal minor wear on the driver's seat. Some carpet wear near driver's feet. Overall, above average interior. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) Except the rear windows which need $10 plastic rollers to function properly, all the other power stuff works including front power windows, locks, dual power seats, hot heat & cold A/C through digital climate control, tilt wheel, power mirrors, cruise control, am/fm cassette/CD, power antenna, keyless entry, hatch release, rear wiper, and rear defroster all work. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully. Steering & suspension are tight, alignment is right on. Brakes work well with good linings (newer front pads and rotors I installed at 114k.) Tires have about 20% tread remaining front, 70% remaining rear on two matched pairs. Solid exhaust with no leaks. Rear end is quiet & limited slip works properly. Quick off the line, smooth and quiet on the highway with lots of passing power. Nice driving car - no issues. Car passed NY safety & emissions inspection in May of this year. Short version: Small deposit as listed (but fast) by overnight mail or Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Bank of America cashier's check.
