up for sale is a 1968 ford galixie 500 fast back it is a hard top (no post when windows rolled down). it is being sold for parts, or restoration, this car is not drivable and has not been drove for some time. I will list as much as I know or can check on, but i know little about the history of the car. the car was originally a 302 4v auto trans car on the column, and bench seat it looks like it was origiinally dark blue on the exterior. there is no motor or trans in the car they have been pulled and sold.. this car has disk front brakes and drum on the rears they will need to be gone through, there is a radiator, set of hood hinges,hideaway headlight setup , and driveshaft in the trunk. exterior is straight and doesnt look like the car was in any serious accidents in its life, but it needs a lot of tlc, the lower rear quarters are rusted on both sides and need replaced, bumpers are bent and the trunk lid has been damaged no trunk lock or springs on the trunk lid, there is also a dent on the drivers side fastback post from a tree limb, windshield is cracked other glass sides and rear are in tacked. it is setting on 4 15" steel wheels that look factory. car has light blue interior that is all there except drivers door panel is in the trunk all needs replaced though it is mildewing from the car sitting. trans hump is solid but where you put your feet in all 4 places is rusted through, not sure what rear end is under car, trunk is rusty. door latches stick, but doors seam to be in decent shape. if you are available from 10am-3pm mon-fri and would like to inspect the car yourself let me know and we can make arangements. car would be best suited as a parts car, but could be restored overall it is pretty solid. feel free to ask any questions or about any parts you want to know about on this car. all sells are final an as is buyer car pick up from 10am-3pm mon-fri and some sat mornings or sunday nights if arrangements are made. localy the car could be delivered for a fee. $200 deposit dew within 48 hours of auction close and remainder dew at pickup in cashOn Sep-09-10 at 11:57:06 PDT, seller added the following information: on the drivers side frame where the main frame attatches to the rear frame whar i call a torq box (chrysler) is ruster through on the bottom all other areas that i could see to inspect looked solid i have taken pictures and put up a pic of the rusted one, i will put up pics of the rest of the frame tonight as pics are being verry slow to load right now. thanks
