Hi I am selling a 1974 Audi Fox 2 door sedan. I purchased the car in the winter 08-09 from a person on Long Island that bought it from the original owner that could no longer drive, he turned around and resold the car. The car is in overall good shape,the paint is original and has a few rock chips and is fading on the sharp angles where it was waxed over and over during the last 36 years. There is hardly any rust to be found, a spot on the front driver side fender ( see pic) and a spot behind the front bumper. The inner fenders and undercarriage were coated with POR15, that helps prolong the life of the metal and all cavities were sprayed with WURTH wax protectant. The engine is the 1.6 VW engine that was also used in the Dasher, it runs good and starts well, according to the previous owner it had been rebuilt by the original owner, but no receipt available so do like me and take it for what it is worth ( could be the truth, could be BS) the original owner installed a larger 2 barrel carburator and a K&N filter pack, the original carb and air filter unit are available and included in the sale. The car is fitted with the stainless steel Euro bumpers instead of the heavy ( both in weight and mostly look) bumpers that were fitted after 1973. All electrical works, it has a radio installed. The interior is in decent shape, The dash is perfect with no carcks, the driver seat has some rips that is why it has a seat cover. It is only missing the knob for the fan, have not been able to find one in a junkyard yet, but have not tried very hard either since I do not drive the car in the winter. The battery is newer, brakes are good, only work done was to have the gas tank removed and resealed, the car sat for quite a while prior to my ownership and rust was present, kept on plugging the gas filter. The rear parcel shelf liner is coming unglued but could be an easy fix. The headliner is in good condition except around the rear window, where it is coming slightly undone ( see Pics) The tires are very good condition Michelins and all wheel covers are in great shape. Perfect retro car. Inexpensive to buy, maintain and quite different. All glass is in great shape. I replaced the exhaust system last summer. I have a few spare parts collected, new pads, lower ball joints, master cylinder rebuilt kit, repair manual......., they will be included in the sale I also have 2 new old stock front fenders that I will sell separatly if interested. ( they were quite expensive) The car is sold with NO RESERVE, but still ask your significant other to make sure it is OK to bring another car home.
