Very rare ONE OWNER 1962 Valiant Signet 200 with bucket seats. Just needs paint and a little TLC. This car was purchased new right here in Lubbock at Fenner Tubbs, as you can see in the pictures of the paperwork and the dealership emblem on the trunk. I held, smelled and felt the original title to this car. Since I bought this car from a car dealer a few weeks ago, we had to send the original title in to Austin. We did, however, get copies for verification. This car was kept by the original owner from November 7th, 1962 'til March 5th, 2010. There are only 73,711 original miles. Speedometer works flawlessly! The car has the original hot water 6, Super 225. Engine starts everytime, and you have to actually listen very closely when the windows are up to hear if it is even running. Nice, tight shifting, 3 on the tree. I've seen several 4-doors, but this is the first 2-door I've seen. The right rear fender trim is missing, and one Signet 200 emblem is off of the left front fender. A new trunk mat would be nice, but it is an unbelievable find. Tires are so new they still have the tips from the mold on them. I had a new tail pipe and hanger put on, and one place on the driver's seat fixed. I put new wheel cylinders and shoes on the front last week. I checked the rear shoes, and they are fine. I found the fender skirts on E-bay and put them on, but you can sure take them off if you don't like the look. I'm posting a YouTube link on here so you can see my son driving down the road. This is the first and only three-speed on the column he's seen. He's remarks were "weird," then "cool"....then he said, "This car is SO cool!" Anyway, look at the pictures. This car deserves to be restored, or just kept as a survivor for another 48 years. This car is being sold at "NO RESERVE." This car is also up for sale locally, and may be removed prior to close of auction. So, if you're seriously interested, you might want to act quickly on this rare find. Call with questions or offers. There is a very little rust on the last inch and a half or so on the lower inside of both fenders behind the tires that will need some work when you decide to redo this car. Also several people have asked about driving this 500 to 700 miles home. I wouldn't trust a 48 year old car that is just out of storage, that's just me , Just being broken down several hundred miles from home in 100 degree Texas heat in a car with no a/c , just doesn't seem like a great way to spend a weekend.
