Vehicle Detail
My 72 year old dad bought this car from the neighbor in January this year. The car belonged to an elderly woman who died and left it to her nephew. They all lived on the same block in Darlington SC. This car sat for three years prior to my dad buying it due to lack of drivers. (Another death left one driver and three cars) Anyway you get the idea. This is a great car. Fuel milage is almost 32 mpg with AC running around town and 40+ mpg on the road. My dad drives it to Columbia (about 70 miles one way often with no issues). Carpet looks good, seats are really nice, interior overall is an 8 out of 10. The back left door panal problable needs to be replaced but it is not torn up. Since puchasing this car the following additions have been made. New Sarter and Alternator, Battery with all new cables, all four tires, AC/ serviced and in great shape.(you can't survive in SC without it) The power window switches were just replaced along with a New Dash Board cover which looks great. Everything works with the following exceptions: The Sunroof will not open. It is a hard top no glass roof. This can be fixed but we chose not to mess with it. The motor operates but won't move the roof panal. The electric antenea sticks, the back left window does not open. I have the parts and plan to fix this week but just in case I want to list the issue. The paint looks good not great but good. There are two small dents one in the trunk and one on the side. They are not noticable but they are there. This car has never been wrecked. The tires are new the brakes are new with OEM parts, we just had to replace the Hood latch so it is new as well. We are selling because it is a 26 year old car and my dad is a Car-Achondriac..he hears every squeek, every rattle and it drives him crazy. (which intern drives me crazy, not really but he needs a new car not an old one) Who ever buys this car is the beneficiary of his disease and reaps the benefits of all teh repair work. As you can see in the list, the repairs completed are normal wear and tear items you expect with used cars. This one has them all complete in the last 6 months. The car is available to test drive in Columbia SC. If you buy it and dont like it you have one week to bring it back. As long as there is no damage I will refund your money. That is how sure I am of the condition. Feel free to call 803-673-2678On Aug-31-10 at 12:18:37 PDT, seller added the following information: My Dad informed me he is 73 not 72. Just wanted to make that adjustment.
