1966 Fairlane "S" code GTA. fresh restoration with about 100 miles on the restoration. Original engine has been rebuilt and is .060 over with new hyperutetic flat tops, new rings,bearings and seals. It has new hardened seats in the heads and has ford racing windage tray. It has Hooker super comp headers that has the Eastwood exhaust coating on them with 3" aluminized exhaust with flow masters. It has a small Crane cam and matching valve springs. The part number is 272H. New water pump, fuel pump,alternator, starter, 3 core radiator. The valve covers have been recromed. The block numbers are C6ME-A heads are C6ea-R intake is C6ae-G . It has a Edelbrock 750cfm with electric choke. The original carb was missing. The transmission was rebuilt by previous owner and works great. The 9" looks to be original and is correct for the car with the fill plug in the back and has 3:25 gears. The left floor pans and right front floor pan has been replaced. The cowl, torque boxes, frame rails, rocker panels are all rust free and very solid. The body was stripped and has fresh base clear in the original Emberglow color. All weatherstrips have been replaced and the bumpers has been rechromed. New windshield and and front and rear seals has been replaced. The car was painted with all glass out and has been completely apart. All the interior has been replaced or restored, seats,door panels,carpet,headliner,arm rests bases,scuff plates,package tray,glove box. I redyed the dash pad that is in great shape except for one small crack in the speaker grill. It has the original woodgrain steering wheel that has not been restored and has cracks but is still nice considering. The headlight doors and tail lights are new and emblems are new. New halogen headlight bulbs. The brakes are all new except for the drums. The brake shoes, wheel cylinders, hoses,master cylinder and all metal lines are new. It has new 15x7 styled steel wheels,215-65-15 front tires 255-60-15 rear tires. the center caps and lug nuts are all new. The car had the 14" styled steel wheels from the factory but were missing when I bought the car.The shocks are new. The door hinges were rebuilt and the strikers are new. The gas tank,sending unit and all fuel lines are new. The bottom of the car was cleaned, sanded and painted with eastwood rust incapsulator and looks great. The Fairlane runs, drives,stops and looks great and does not leak anything and does not overheat in 90 degree temps in traffic. The front suspension is all tight but has not been painted and detailed. I am sure you be happy with this car. Come and look at the car and drive it!! thanks for looking. On Aug-30-10 at 04:55:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add that the radio is not installed because I wanted to send it for repairing and updating it to modern internals with FM. Also the plastic trim on the dash needs to be rechromed and has not been installed. On Aug-30-10 at 05:59:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I also forgot to add that at some time the Fairlane had under dash AC. You can see where the lines ran through the fire wall and through the radiator support and the top of the original console had been cut off. I had to replace the console. All of the AC stuff was missing when I bought the car. The Fairlane spent most of its life in Texas so I am sure that is why it had AC.
