Check it out!! Super rare1959 Pontiac Superior Bonneville Hightop Ambulance! Runs and drives great!. I bought this ambulance back in 2004 out of Bend, Oregon. I believe it was in Oregon it's whole life up until I bought it. The graphic's on the side say "La Pine Ambulance". Vehicle has a clear Oregon title. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION - Strong 389 V8, odometer say 46,000 miles which could be original because the car still has it's old radiator hoses and hose clamps and belts from the 1970's. The transmission is an automatic and shifts perfectly. I was told by the previous owner that it had been rebuilt. The "reverse" is all the way to the right on the column. It has a quiet single exhaust. PAINT AND BODY - It's obviously going to need paint. The body is STRAIGHT, SOLID AND RUST FREE. There is a little surface rust here and there but NO rot. The lower part of the vehicle is all solid with NO RUST in the rockers or lower quarter panels. There is no rust on the roof or above the windshield because the roof in fiberglass. Chrome bumpers are original and need to be replated. INTERIOR - The interior is the original blue and white vinyl and needs to be completely redone. It has two original jump seats in the back. The divider glass is not cracked or missing. The front and back headliners are well intacted and not falling down. The vehicle originally came with a vinyl floor in the front compartment. These type of floors generally hold mosture underneath and that is why the front floor pans need to be replaced. GLASS - All the curved glass on the vehicle is NOT cracked. Windshield is curved and not cracked. The back door glass is curved and not cracked. Both triangle shaped curved wrap-around glass pieces are not cracked. The four side doors have flat glass and the etched windows above the quarter panels are also flat glass. Some of the flat glass needs to be replaced. TIRES/RIMS - I do not know how old the tires are. They have tread and they all hold air. The two rims on the back look original, the two rims on the front are the correct size but do not match the rear. The previous owner took off the two front door panels and the back door panel. All the door handles, stainless trim, etc. has been bagged and labeled. This can all be seen in the photos. Vehicle must be picked up in a timely manner. I am not able to store the vehicle for an extended amount of time. There is a storage lot that I use which costs $85 a month.
