Beautiful 1987 Mercedes Benz Diesel 300SDL Long Body. This is the 3rd MB Diesel that I have owned. I purchased this vehicle a little over a year ago and have driven it as a secondary car. It is extremely clean on the inside and the engine and mechanicals are strong and sound. There are a couple of rust spots(I have taken pictures). It is a pleasure to drive and I have driven from CT to Cape Cod/Atlantic City/Baltimore/NYC with no problems and full of confidence. The car has a driver side airbag and anti-lock brakes. It is rear wheel drive. I had a Mercedes Dealer Mechanic go through the car. I replaced both tie rods/ball joints/front & rear brakes in February 2010. I had the A/C recharged with some Freon in August of 2009 and agian in July 2010 - this was common with my other diesels as well. I owned a 1985 300D and a 1987 300 TDT Wagon. If you are a MB enthusiast you know that 1987 is the magic year for diesels.....the engine and whole make up is pretty bullet proof. I have never had a major mechanical issue with any of the cars. You would probably ask why I am selling - I just purchased a 1987 560SL and only have room for 3 cars in my family. I also own a 2003 E320 4Matic Wagon. I replaced the MB factory radio/cassette with a new Kenwood Radio/CD/Ipod capable stereo. It has a remote and the face plate comes off if security is an issue. I kept the MB factory radio and is included with purchase. Everything Works: All Windows and Large Sun Roof Vacuum locks - close and open perfectly Cruise/all Lights/Dials and Mechanicals in the Dashboard. Engine pulls strong and transmission shifts smoothly - this is not always the case with the older Benz Blemishes: 4 rust spots - see pictures bumpers need a little cosmetic help - see pics One piece of the wood laminate in passenger rear door is torn - see pics Paint is a nice color that doesn't show dirt but it is not super glossy.
