This Dodge Brothers is a 1918 extended chassis Hearse. Serial # 272464. A lot of the parts on this car would be the same as earlier models. This Dodge Brothers is a very rare vehicle and meets the criteria for a worthy car of preservation or restoration. It is a nice looking Dodge Brothers and would make a very nice commercial type vehicle. This was a Truck my Father had put in a garage in 1956. It’s missing a few things but sat unharmed. The doors shut and latch nice, the metal trim around doors is all there and not bent up. Door hinges are also in fine working order. The wood has some deterioration but is for the most part all there and solid. The seat base and springs are there but the wood is coming apart. Gas tank under seat is in nice condition and cap screwed off easy and looks good inside, gas gauge looks fine also. Carburetor is missing and no speedo in dash. but there was a box inside with the speedometer in it,but its been taken apart, I’ll include that with this sale. Glass is cracked on Amp. gauge I did not fine the rear wheels. I put crank handle in and could not get the engine to turn over.
