This car is in AWESOME original condition! I am amazed to find the level of cleanliness and overall condition. I first was introduced to this car in the place it was kept since approximately 1991. It was kept under a covered roof with a cover over the car itself. The owner took obvious good care of it and prized the car for its nostalgia. He has since passed and the family friend who has the car wishes that the new owner is someone who will carry on the same love for the car and hopefully tinker with the few minor things it will need to bring to new condition. It will pass inspection as is. The headlights work fine and there is no rust or cracks in dash that I can find. I was able to drive it down to the shop that 1st day. I had the car washed, replaced the wire plug and fuse for wipers, replaced fuel filter, 1 small light bulb and she was ready to go! I have the slip for this work from the mechanic. It was completed on 07/26/10. I have drove it some around town and she drives like a dream! I love the looks I get when I go places. The AC works GREAT! The car is all original right down to the radio! I have visions of me being a kid and riding in the back with no seat belt - in a VERY similar car! :) It has had 3 owners. 4 counting the family friend who is the current owner. It has many of the original paperwork. All kept in plastic. for instance, the original consumer handbook, sales brochure booklet and more! As I said, all kept in absolute mint condition in plastic. There is no real damage to mention. There is some general wear overall, but very minimal. The original sticker on air filter is peeling up on the sides some, but........wow, it is still there! It would be an easy fix for that, I will leave that privilege to the new owner! :) The car is in such overall good condition, it is amazing the car is as old as it is. I was impressed with how clean even the door jams are. The miles read 40,468.0 on the odometer last I looked (may have a few extra from me driving around town, but not a significant amount. The title reads "Not Actual Miles" from DMV. This is due to the previous owner getting it registered without the car present, he estimated the mileage over by a few thousand. Since the mileage recorded with DMV has been corrected. The car's appearance alone attests for it mileage. I cannot give you a Car Fax as it is not available on cars older than 81'. But I have enough information / paperwork to attest to the worthiness of this info, not to mention the condition speaks for itself. Let me know if you have any extra questions.
