Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1975 Ford Maverick. It is a 2 door 302 V8 car with 49,xxx original miles on the car and odometer is still rolling! Car has NEW GoodYear 14's all the way around with only 1 missing hubcap unfortunately. Tires have less than 50 miles on them. The Maverick is power steering, power brakes (which are excellent), but no A/C and Heat blows out great. The tail lights, brake lights, headlights, side markers, blinkers, ALL dash lights, radio light, interior light, gear indicator light, heat/ac control unit light, fuel gauge, speedometer..ALL WORK...so all gauges are in working order and all lights besides 1 parking light on the passenger side, the light right beside the headlight. Even when you flip the bright lights on (foot pedal on floor which was a cool thing about these old school cars), the indicator light in the dash comes on to let you know your brights are on. The windshield wipers work excellent as well on all speeds. It amazes me how everything works in the car, this car was maintained very well. The motor has absolutely NO LEAKS and haven't seen a single leak in it since I bought it, which is always good. It has a Ford intake and an Edelbrock carb. Also, I recently changed out the spark plugs and wires and put on a new Edelbrock breather, may need another air filter, but they are cheap. The car starts right up everytime without any problems and motor seems very strong in this thing. Whether you want a drag car or just an everyday driver it has the potential to be both. The exterior of the car is currently in primer grey and is almost ready for paint. All the glass is good with no cracks anywhere along with windows rolling down just fine. Also, back windows pop outward to open and give air in the backseat, which I thought was really neat. The car has the original Maverick gas cap with key included as well to lock your cap back up. As far as I can see there was only one rust issue and it was done the right way with new metal and it can be seen if you open the trunk that it was done right with welds and they did an excellent job. So with that said the body is completely rust free which is a major plus for this year of vehicle. Floorboards are also rust free as well. There is a wrinkled area on the passenger door as you can see in the pictures, but other then that area the car would be ready for paint. The Maverick and F.O.R.D. emblems are included with the car, just not on the vehicle due to the body work prep being done to the vehicle. The interior is green and needs some work to look show car condition. The front seat and carpet would need replacing and maybe the door panels just cleaned up a bit. The headliner is in EXCELLENT condition with no rips or tears or discoloration as you can see in the picture and the dash is also in really great shape. The radio turns on and flips through the channels and volume turns up and down real well, but it doesn't sound like any radio stations are coming through very well, not sure why. The bad that I can really come up with is that upon starting the car, it seems to want to run a little rough at idle and it may either be a timing issue or anything from a vacuum leak to carb needing some adjusting, but it usually smooths itself out and runs like a charm when hitting higher speeds such at 60 mph on highway etc. Also, a Left and Right of both Lower A-Arms and Spindles are included with the car as you can see in the picture below, at least thats what i believe they are as I'm not too familiar with suspension myself. When hitting bigger bumps in the road you can feel this baby will eventually need some kind of suspension work. Other than those two things the car is a definite car for either a daily driver as it is now or maybe a drag car down the road, but either way this car is great for the price and doesn't need much money put into it to be done and looking good. I am a really honest person just trying to sell one of my project cars for some extra cash. I hope I mentioned everything that needs to be said about the car and feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them truthfully. I don't want any surprises for my buyer and hope the car goes to someone who will fix it up and make it look great again. For my safety, this vehicle is being sold AS-IS with no warranties. Buyer is responsible for shipping fees/charges and pickup. I accept Cashiers Checks and Money Orders. If you pay by PayPal I will accept that as well, but they started doing this thing where they hold your money for 21 days or so and if they decide to do it for this auction then I will keep the car for another 21 days until the money is in my hands, so I prefer payment by Cashiers check or Money orders only, not that hard to do either one. Any questions feel free to ask! Thanks for looking and good luck!
