Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1967 Ford Mustang GT Convertible with a 289 4v and 4 speed with a factory power top, factory power disc. brakes, Factory front fog lamps and is candy apple red. This car has had 2 owners and the person I bought it from bought the car in 1976 and then parked it in 1986 and the car has been sitting until last month when I purchased it. I had to replace the fuel tank as the old gas had turned to mush and replaced the sending unit and all fuel lines, Rebuilt the carb and replaced the filters. Changed all of the fluids installed a battery and she fired right up. I ordered the Marti Report and have included it on this listing, The second owner did not like the red interior so in 1977 he found a 67 mustang convertible in a junk yard and he swapped all of the interior to black, This included a perfect bench seat that is still perfect. The dash and metal parts on the doors have been painted black. This car has a factory power top and it works great, It also has a drivers side remote mirror, The car was originally equipped with a white top with 2 piece rear glass window but now has a black top with the two piece rear window and it is in poor condition. The am radio is still in the car and all of the wiring is untouched and intact. The original spare tire, jack and lug wrench are included along with a spare door glass, complete Gt grill and clear fog-lamps, A couple of front fender extensions and a bag of bolts, screws and emblems. This car needs a full restoration, But is complete and this is not a GT clone but the real deal and everything looks to be original with the exception of the bench seat and the addition of a four speed transmission( not sure why a GT had a 3 speed). The engine, rear axle and Carburetor, all still have the factory tags installed. The firewall still has some of the factory lettering in the cowl area when this car went down the production line and looks to have the original paint. The odometer reads 61,400 miles not sure if this is actual or not. The car still retains the stock exhaust manifolds but has a set of cherry bombs for that nostalgic sound.I have included pictures of the rust that I have found on the car, Both rear quarters have a small amount right behind the wheel well and on the drivers side floor pan, 2 small square spots next to the front fenders where they bolt on tho the upper inner fenders and where the battery is mounted the apron has a hole. This car is documented and features the Gt package and is factory candle apple red, I purchased this car with great intensions but me financial situation has changed and I need to sell it. This car runs and drives but do not expect to drive this car on a long trip the brakes are spongy and the tires show some dry rot. Please E-mail with any questions. I have the clear Colorado title in hand and will not turn over the car or paperwork until I have full payment.
