I restore motorcycles and this one is very nice. I bought this cycle a week ago and before I restore it I thought I'd see if I could get a reasonable auction price. If I don't, I'll take the engine out, paint the frame, polish the chrome, put on a few OEM parts, completely go through the entire motorcycle and then sell it as a full restoration. It hadn't been registered or started since 2006. I brought it home, drained out the old gas and cleaned/oiled the air filter. I put in a new plug, as the compression checked out good at 135-140 PSI. New battery and she fired right up on the third kick (clean running 2 stroke). Adjusted the carb and it runs well. Took it out for a spin and know it needs new front shoes - one fork seal (I have new ones) probably drained oil onto the drums. Shifts smoothly. Gas tank is dent and rust free. In a perfect light you can see the clear coat is beginning to wear (this doesn't show up in the photos). Exhaust is perfect although the guard has some scratches. Fenders are stock and good. Gauges work. Even the horn still works. Seat is in very good shape. Repair manual included. To be legal it needs rear blinkers (or take the front 2 off) and some bulbs replaced, along with a mirror. Clear open Colorado title. Will not accept bids from those with negative feedback. Down payment of $300 per Paypal is to be done within 72 hours of end of auction. Full payment 7 days after close of auction. Going to San Antonio from Denver the first week of September and can deliver it along my way for a negotiable fee PRIOR to the end of the auction, otherwise it has to be picked up in Brighton, Colorado, approximately 15 miles north of Denver. I do not want to crate or ship this cycle. I'm out of town on the weekends so I can only answer questions Mon- Thur.
