Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1968 chevy impala 2 door fastback. It has a non original 283 motor that runs great. It has many new parts and also additional used parts that will go with the car upon the sale that I will describe in sections. I am relisting this item because the auction winner "samcam74" was a dead beat who wouldnt even contact me after the sale. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU CANT PAY IF YOU HAVE A 0 RATING YOU NEED TO MESSAGE ME FIRST WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER BEFORE YOU BID OR I WONT ACCEPT YOUR BID THANKS. Interior (very nice): New front floor panels installed on both right and left sides welded in and on the top side painted with rust inhibitor to keep the floor panels from rusting. the under neath side i did not paint yet so there is some surface rust that mostly wipes off. New carpet installed New headliner installed the dome light and sun visors are original and not installed but are present with the car and in the pictures Newly reupholstered front and rear bench seats to match original New rear dash carpet installed but seat edge not fastened down yet (in pictures a yellow foam is showing that can very easily be attached) New kenwood cd player that has an ipod jack and a detachable face New front dash speaker and new rear dash speakers also small new amplifier to run rear dash speakers (6 by 9) New B and M floor shifter I believe its called a z-gate New under dash gauges that have blue lights alternator temperature and oil pressure Exterior very solid some small dents and very minor rust (also in pictures): It does need some paint work Its a very solid car very minimal rustspots/dents There is a tiny hole in the trunk on the drivers side (see pics me pointing with a screwdriver) I have missing trim and boxes of extra trim , lights , emblems that go with the car Windshield has a crack ( I have a new front windshield that comes with the car) I have many many extra parts that go with the car I will explain down farther New tires goody ear white letter tires 255 60 R15 less then 500 miles on them ( sometimes the driver side tire barely rubs when you turn all the way to the left because I bought really wide tires My next front set I was going to buy something closer to stock to put on my new rims so it wouldn't rub New American racing wheels less then 500 miles on them New disc front brake conversion kit installed includes: brake booster master cylinder proportion valve rotors bearings calipers and brake pads and brackets and all metal and rubber brake lines New rear brakes installed include: brake shoes spring kits wheel cylinders and all metal and rubber lines I did use the old drums because they are in good shape New suspension parts front installed: shocks ball joints idler arm and alignment also the front springs are not new but around 4 years old and in great shape New suspension parts rear installed: new high jacker air shocks and coil springs New dual exhaust with headers with glass pack mufflers that turn down rite in front of rear differential awesome low meaty beefy sound Engine compartment: 283 motor 350 turbo automatic transmission I believe the motor has approximately 67k miles on it. it sounds like it has a cam low lope meaty sound with exhaust New radiator aluminum edelbrock valve covers and matching air breather It has a 650 edelbrock carb and a edelbrock performer intake New battery and wiper motor also new air horn ( someone cut me off in traffic it was an impulse buy) When i bought this motor I was told it had a new thermostat ant water pump also timing chain and oil pump and it looked like it did There are no leaks I can see except for the transmission. I put a new filter and gasket on but there is still a small leak.I see a drip every once in a wile coming from what I think is the pan gasket. ( should be a very easy cheap fix.) I also installed new u-joints in the drive shaft. I've noticed after the car had sat for a little while and i would start it I might get small puff of smoke from the passenger side exhaust and it would quit immediatly but I was told it was probably valve stem seals and its an easy cheap fix , if i drive it often it doesnt do it. I think its from not driving it that much I was going to put in some oil treatment designed for valve stem seals but I hadnt got to it yet because it only does it if sits for a while I have had so much awesome fun driving this car and there are only a couple very easy things besides paint this car might need should you decide to fix them: 1) The float for the gas guage in the tank is stuck because when I bought this car it had sat for a little while 2) The small trans leak mentioned earlier 3) The car does need rubber seals for where the door glass meets the car 4) The heater core is bad and I have bought a new one that goes with the car In the pics there are tons of parts that go with this car , the ones I can remember are an extra hood and trim boxes of emblems and trim everything you see on the shelving extra windshield and passenger door glass an extra wing window assembly original steering wheel extra front bumper 2 upper and 2 lower grill sets 2 header panels and much much more... This car drives amazing stops like a new car and makes everyone i pass rubberneck looking at this car.I have tried to accurately describe this car to the best of my ability. I really have had lot of fun with this car and I hope someone else will also. Thank you for taking the time to look at this page. Please ask any questions you might have and I will get back as soon as possible thanks. I have a clean indiana title in hand.
