1983 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo This is a rust free jeep from California, I bought it and had it shipped to Minnesota. Never driven in snow. I have never driven it with the top on either. If you like to turn a wrench once in awhile and work on cars then this might be for you. Easy to work on and runs good. Specs drivetrain: 4.2 258 6 in line six, 5 speed manual tranny, Dana 300 transfer case. Stock front Dana 30 axle, Amc 20 rear axle. Gears are 3.31. 20 gallon fuel tank with new sending unit. I just put on a new motorcraft carb, D.U.I distributer and livewires, sparkplugs. Aluminum valve cover. New gaskets: front main, rear main, oil pan, valve cover, starter solnoid. proubly more. The body on the jeep is straight and cleen. It has been repainted in the past. Looks good (not a street rod perfect) paint job but a good driver. New graphix by Phoenix Graphix. Looks good and old school. Tilt wheel. Power steering and brakes. The rims are originals with 30x9.50r15 BFG Goodrich mud terrian tires. They are older and do have some weather cracks from age. No lift in the jeep, all stock. New steering dampner. Drives down the road nicely with no lift and wondering. Soft top only NO other tops, What you see is what you get. All zipper work and are there. Does have lite scuffs from being used. No rips or wholes. Bestop Super top is the brand. All guages work. It does have factory cruise control but someone before me unplugged it from the fuse box. I have never tried to hook it back up. The jeep also had factory A/C. The motor stuff is still there but missing under dash part. The motor runs good, it has a slight upper (Lifter) noise too me. I asked a guy that did some work on it and he said it sounds normal for the age and would last a long time. I just want to let people know. I do not want to missrepersent anything. I like to go to bed at night knowing I didn't cheat anyone. The oil pressure seems good. I think the jeep sat a lot in its life and when you start them up after sitting for long periods of time that can happen. Any questions call me 612-791-2909. I do not want to trade for anything.
