This is the one you have been looking for! It's a 2002 Mercedes Benz SL500 Roadster Silver Arrow edition that sold for $86,400 new. What exactly is the "Silver Arrow edition"? Well, only 1400 Silver Arrows were produced to commemorate Mercedes racing successes of their late 1930's era Grand Prix cars. Each of these limited production SL500s were finished in Silver Arrow metallic paint, had a fully-lined black soft top, brushed aluminum instrument cluster with chrome bezels, and aluminum trim on the wind deflector, shift gate, pedals, grille and trunk lid. In addition, unique new multipiece, six-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels with 245/45ZR18 and 275/35ZR18-inch tires front and rear, factory-drilled brake rotors front and rear, Xenon high-intensity gas discharge headlights, and a six-disc CD Changer in the trunk. The interior of the Silver Arrow SL500s include two-tone leather upholstery in silver and black for both seats and door panels, and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob. This package was only available on 2002 models and was a $2,500 option. This particular vehicle has been babied it's entire life, stored inside, regular maintenance, and washed weekly. There are no known issues with the car, mechanical, cosmetic, or otherwise. That is not to say that the car is perfect, it is an 8 year old weekend driver, and not a museum piece. Also included in the sale is the factory silver hard top, which makes the SL500 a pleasure to drive year round. It is equipped with all the familiar power options, heated seats, keyless entry, security, tilt, cruise, etc. It also has a rollbar with a wind deflector that will be greatly appreciated by any women with long hair. All the original papers, owner's manual, and first aid kit will come with the car. From someone who changes high end vehicles with the seasons, owning this car for over two years now says a lot about it. Have put about 20,000 problem free miles on it, with a recent trip of 1,000 miles that produced nothing but enjoyment. The rarity of these vehicles are nearing a point where their value will maintain and eventually increase. Purchasing one in this condition and with low miles is a great opportunity. With two children now, a convertible with a back seat has become necessary, and is the only reason I have decided to let this one go.
