Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible. This Camaro is a RUST FREE California Blue Plates Car. It was built at the Los Angeles Assembly Plant the first week of May 1969 (05A). It spent it's life in Califirnia until July of 2007 when it came to Ohio. When was the last time you found a RUST FREE Original Body 1969 Convertible!! Not many left that haven't had floors and rust repairs!! This Camaro Convertible was originally the very desirable Daytona Yellow ( paint code 76 ). It has Standard Black Interior ( Code 711 ) & a Black Convertible Power Top. Options include: Power Convertible Top / Factory Air Conditioning / Power Steering & Power Brakes & Center Clock. The factory Power Brakes were updated to SSBC - 4 Wheel Disc Brakes on all 4 corners with working Emergency Brake. The body is Incredible! No Rust and it Never Had Any! You will be hard pressed to find another 69 Convertible body this nice!! Just like it came from the factory! The underside is unbelievable & Rust Free!! Doors open and close as they should. All 4 Original Cocktail Shakers are in place. The Engine is NOT the Original and is from a 1971 Monte Carlo, best I can tell. I do not know if trans is original or not. It is a TH350 & it shifts great, nice & firm. Engine runs out nice & has an aftermarket Aluminum intake & carb. Full Duel Exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers sound nice. Interior is Black Standard and is in good driver condition. Seats appear to be original and are in good condition. Door panels are nice. Dash pad is curling up a little. Steering wheel is a wood Grant Wheel. Speedo & fuel gauge work fine but center clock is not currently working. Dash lenses are yellowing and could use replacement. Convertible top has seen better days, not sure if it is original or not. Will need replaced if restoring the car. Power Top works well. We never have it up as we only enjoy it in nice weather. A New, never used black Convertible Top Boot is in included with the car. The body on this car is awesome with NO RUST or Rust Repairs! The dash metal, cowl, floors, rockers, frame rails, trunk, quarters, doors & fenders, etc are beautiful! The paint is fair to good in my opinion. Looks nicer in the pics. It looks great from 10 feet but has flaws. It is currently Red and has some chips & nicks, but is a good driver. The car really deserves a proper restoration. It has never been restored. Just a couple cheap paint jobs throughout it's life. The weatherstripping is shot & really needs replaced. The car runs & drives good & stops great thanks to the 4 wheel disc brakes. The power top works. All the lights work as they should. The A/C is complete, has a belt, but will likely need serviced & recharged. Again I do not know the history on the engin / trans, though they function properly. The glass is all nice & original. Rear quarter windows need a little help going up & down & could use some adjustment. Here is your chance to own a Rust Free 1969 Camaro Convertible. Why spend your money on a rust bucket or patched & panneled and pieced together Camaro Convertible. You won't find many with a body like this. Drive it while you restore it or give it a proper & easy frame off restoration. This could be an easy project leading to a High Quality Big Dollar Car! Save yourself the headache and start with an original Rust Free Body. Clear Ohio Title in hand in my name, copy of previous title & copies of California registrations! Wheels are GM 15x7" with new rings & caps. Brakes are all new SSBC brand 4 wheel Disc. Heater core is disconnected and has been that way for years.
