Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1973 Mustang Convertible with 28,500 original documented miles in excellent condition. I am the third owner. I purchased it from an attorney who bought it from the original owners estate. I have a signed affidavit from this lawyer stating the miles were original at 26,600 when he purchased the car which will go with the sale. Although this is an unmolested original car, it is not a "barn find", but rather a carefully preserved and restored original example of the last of the great Mustangs. The car has been meticulously restored with the vision of keeping it original in all aspects. Much of the interior is original and pristine like the Ginger Sebring Knit/Corinthian Vinyl Bucket seats and dash. This car still has its original windshield! This is a highly optioned car with Body Side Tape Stripe, blackened hood (a no cost option for 1973 convertibles), C-4 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes, Rear Bumper Rub Strips, Decor Group, Color Keyed Racing Mirrors, and rare Power Side Windows in perfect working order. The original AM/FM radio has been replaced with a refurbished AM/FM stereo with 8 Track player which is in perfect working condition. This vehicle has been painted once in its original Light Yellow Gold Paint Ford #3565-A. There is absolutely no rust or bondo on this car. It's all metal and nearly perfect as you can see from the close up photos. It rides tight and rolls down the road at any speed without vibration or unusual noises. The front end is perfect and tight. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. The original 302 V-8 has been rebuilt and works flawlessly with excellent power. Electronic ignition has been recently installed (Petronix) replacing the traditional points and condensor. There is a brand new very expensive exhaust system with chrome tips which has a strong muscle tone to it. Automatic transmission shifts as it should. Trunk is detailed as is the engine compartment. The car has all new wheels, brakes, tires, starter motor and more. The top works perfectly. I have the Marti report for this car. I am selling the car as this was meant to be a fun driver for both my wife and me. We've been married 38 years and have started to share this hobby of mine. Well, after driving it a bit, she cannot really see over the hood very well and rather than change the seats etc, we have found another vehicle which is more compatible. What makes this car truly exceptional is not only the low mileage, but it's an accident free, rust free, carefully preserved, fully maintained and upgraded original documented classic! The original rear bumper was replaced this winter with an NOS bumper. It's just the way the car was ordered from the factory. I am including original manuals and 1973 Mustang literature with this sale. You may contact me by phone at 508-868-8445 with any questions. I am also open to all trade offers. Are you one of the folks who wants a pristine convertible and cannot sell their car? Let me know what you have in mind. I am open to all trade considerations. Thank you for taking the time to look at our Mustang. Do not let this one get away if you are looking for this type of vehicle. It's exceptional. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I require a non refundable $1000 deposit within 24 hours through PayPal with the balance paid in full within 7 days by certified bank check, cash or electronic wire transfer.
