YELLOW 1982 CADILLAC DEVILLE COUPE: GREAT RESTORATION PROJECT!!!!! The La Grange, Illinois Police Department is selling ONE vehicle: a yellow 1982 Cadillac Deville Coupe with an odometer reading of 46,503 (I'm sure it is an actual mileage of 146,503). The vehicle runs VERY well considering its age. The vehicle drives well, handles well, and turns very nicely. The vehicle has working power locks and windows, an AM/FM stereo in good condition with an 8-track cassette player (unknown if cassette player works), cruise control (unknown if working), power seat (not currently working), air conditioning in good working condition, tires in good condition, and a plastic wood trim interior (dash) in good condition. The exterior is yellow with tan/cream vinyl seats (poor condition-see below). The front vinyl seats are worn, torn, and have a couple burn marks. The driver's seat is hollowed-out with a pillow to support the driver, needs to be replaced-see enclosed photographs. The rear vinyl seats are in fair condition. The vehicle needs a good cleaning and some restoration. The headliner (interior roof) is missing. Part of the door panel in the passenger rear seat is missing. The windshield is cracked. There is minor accident damage to the front passenger side 1/4 panel as well as some paint chipping, scratches. The rear passenger side 1/4 panel also has minor accident damage. The trunk has duct tape over the locking mechanism-no lock and there is a small dent and minor rust on the left side of the top of the trunk. This vehicle is a must see and a great restoration project. Mechanically, the vehicle functions well. Aesthetically, the vehicle needs some work. The vehicle is a seized/forfeited vehicle and must be auctioned by Illinois law-there is no buy-it-now option. The vehicle is being sold AS IS and with NO WARRANTY. The winning bidder is responsible for the pickup of the vehicle or making arrangements through a shipping service (again, vehicle is in driveable condition and ready to go).
