First let me say that I am listing this for a friend. Due to his illness and the economy he has asked me to handle the listings for him. I will try and list everything to the best of my ability. YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1946 CHRYLSER NEW YORKER . THE PRESENT OWNER PURCHASED IT IN JULY OF 2008. THE NEW YORKER WAS DRIVEN OCCASIONALLY SINCE THEN, BUT MAINLY IN STORAGE AWAITING RESTORAION. TRADGIDY STRIKES: RECENTLY THIS VEHICLE AND A 1952 HENRY J WERE REMOVED FROM STORAGE AND PLACED OUTSIDE WHILE OTHER RESTORED CARS WERE MOVED INSIDE THE STORAGE AREA. AN EXTREMELY BAD STORM HIT SUDDENLY AND A LARGE TREE FELL ON BOTH THE 1946 CHRYSLER AND THE 1952 HENRY J. UNFORTUNATELY INSURANCE DID NOT COVER THE DAMAGE. I KNOW SOME OF YOU VIEWERS ARE GOOD BODYMEN, BUT THIS WOULD PROBABLY BE YOUR GREATEST CHALLANGE. VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD FOR PARTS/PROJECT. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES…………INCLUDING BEFORE AND AFTER STORM DAMAGE…….. THIS CHRYSLER STARTS RIGHT UP, RUNS GOOD, DRIVE STRIGHT AND STOPS WELL. STRIGHT 8 WITH FLUID DRIVE TRANSMISSION. THE PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED THIS CHRYSLER IN 2008 FROM THE GENTLEMAN THAT HAD DONE MUCH OF THE RESTORATION WORK ON THE VEHICLE. BEFORE THE STORM DAMAGE THE VEHICLE STILL NEEDED A NEW INTERIOR, RADIO REPAIR AND CLOCK REPAIR. PRESENT OWNER WAS GOING TO HAVE THE BODY GONE OVER AND BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT AND DETAIL ENGINE, ETC. VEHICLE IS ALL HERE AND ORIGINAL. IF YOU HAVE A ’46 AND ARE RESTORING IT, THIS ONE MAY BE A PARTS SAVIOR FOR YOU.
