85 nissan 300ZX Turbo 5-speed, 132k miles, leather and power....Ok here goes, biggest thing being it needs a transmission, the old 5-speed transmission is out and disassembled, clutch and pressure plate look good, your option if you wanted to replace them while putting a new tranny in, I have a few leads on transmissions locally as low as 200 bucks, not hard to find. The interior needs some work but is not beyond saving, needs the glovebox door replaced, no radio, the driver seat has a seam seperating but could be fixed easily since it's not actually a tear, generally the inside just needs cleaned. Windshield has a crack, The car has all power options, power windows, power locks, power drivers seat, has the full computer diagnostic system with the automated voice that tells you things like when it's low on gas. It has t-tops that are in good shape. As for the body, it's in decent shape for the year, the car has sat for the last couple years since the tranny went out, it has started a couple little rust bubbles under the paint, expect a small amount of bodywork if you want it perfect for paint. While checking it out with someone that was interested, we recently found that there is also a small rust spot through the rear floorpan on both sides, fronts seem solid and rockers are good. The paint isn't perfect could used buffed out the worse part is the hood where it's gotten a little sun burnt. I had a guy that was going to rebuild the tranny he's the one that took it out and disassembled it, he then began other endeavors and couldn't finish it, unfortunately he lost the keys to it. I already spoke to a key shop about it they said they could cut a key from the passenger side door lock, I have the door lock cylinder removed so that's one less step for you, door panel and door glass were removed to get the lock cylinder out, door was sealed and is water tight. Car has a good clean title that is in my name, I have owned the car for 5 years. Title does show an Odometer discrepancy because when the title was transferred in 1999 someone guessed on mileage, their guess was high so the next time it was registered with lower mileage it flagged the title. Prior to the tranny problem the car ran very well, it's very fast being a turboed 6cyl, would out run my friends turboed mazdaspeed protege and ran right with my transam that had a very well built sbc. I think that covers most of it. This car is very much worth restoring, I just have too many projects and not enough time with a growing family. I don't like the idea of parting out a good car so here it is, rebuild it or part it out, even use it for a donor car, It will make someone a nice machine.
