Why you should buy this 944 Turbo! - Buy, Drive, and Enjoy! All major systems already serviced. That means you can buy and daily drive right away - cross country or across the state. Read on… There are several 944’s available, some basket case “project cars” – raced, wrecked, never maintained , but available for super low money at just a couple of thousand dollars. Others “garage queens” super low mileage garage-kept original owner vehicles usually available for mid teens to $20,000. Both have their points: The project cars are easy to acquire, but will require significant money ($5-10k), and work to bring back to usability as a daily driver or race car. The garage queens cost a lot to acquire, but surprisingly, also require putting in hundreds or thousands after purchasing because although they haven’t been driven often and time and age have shrunk their internal seal and gaskets which, if not replaced recently by the current owner become work that the new buyer will have to do soon after purchasing. That brings us to this 1988 944 Turbo – it’s a great price, of the last production 944 Turbo’s that has had all of the major systems already serviced. Buy, drive, and enjoy! Below are listed the major services done – documentation available. What is wrong? A couple dash and driver seat cracks to touch up or replace. (Below are photos of 2 options - $200+ dash recover, in vinyl or leather, or $100 dash cap. I never fixed since they are very common and didn't bother me). Either way a great car for years to come.
