Up for auction is a 1951 Dodge B-1-D Express. 80+ pictures on photobucket. Click this link for more pics on photobucket This one has a column-shift 3-speed transmission - original equipment. Most of the ones I've seen have the "creeper gear" tranny, but this one came factory stock with the column shift - see Don Bunn's book for verification. My plan was to restore this truck. That's why it is partially disassembled. Cab is rust free. Box sides are rust free. Tailgate is of the replacement type without the D O D G E script. I have the 126-inch wheelbase running boards to go with this truck. Front fenders, front sheet metal, hood, and doors are all included with the purchase. Winning bidder will also have an option to purchase a New Old Stock (NOS) hood that I was going to use in the restoration. It's a 1953 hood (modestly different under-hood reinforcement and hinge than the 1951 - an improvement over the 1951 design - exterior shape is the same). Corner cab windows go with the purchase. I have a seat frame that I'll include with the sale to the winning bidder. I have never had this truck running, but the engine turns freely. Rear fenders were trashed when I bought the truck - one was a throw-away, but the other one is probably restorable and will be included with the purchase. Clear New York State registration - vehicles prior to 1973 in New York do not have titles; they have transferable registrations.
