Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1993 Benz..there is nothing wrong with it, I just have too many cars now (3), since I just inherited another car recently, I need to clear the lot. I have been using this car as my daily driver, it's excellent and reliable and very comfortable. It has a few trouble spots, such as the drivers' side mirror adjusting arm is broken, but to tell you the truth, I just adjusted once with my hand and left it that way. Also, the driver door lock is not locking the car, but it can be locked by either the passenger door or the trunk. The ignition has been replaced, so now there is 2 keys for the car, one for the igniton, the other is for the doors. I replaced many things on it beside the ignition, such the fuel pump, (made in Germany), shifter arm bushings, the transmission, all kinds of switches and relays. The car doesn't have air conditioning, I tried a few times, there must be a small leak, since it keeps the AC gas for a week, i think a professional can fix it if really need it. I also replaced the headlights with an aftermarket one, since the stock headlights were horrible (ask any Mercedes owner!) now I rarely drive with the high beam on, since the low beam lights up the road very well. It has a jerk- while putting it into reverse, I usually wait 2 seconds before letting off the brake, until i feel a pull, but this never bothered me. I recently had the transmission thoroughly checked and while it shifts a bit roughly, it has to do with the vacuum control to be adjusted (takes 10 minutes), but since this also never bothered me much, i left it the way it is. It shifts just fine. The exhaust and the pipes underneath has been fixed, it has a slight hiss, but when you are inside you hear nothing (these cars are well insulated ). The car also has professionally tinted windows, I bought it this way 4 years ago..I love it, although the rear window is not tinted, still it's a nice extra. When you get on the highway with this car, 90mph feels like 50mph..and trust me this thing has excellent handling, it corners and easy to maneuver. Come and test drive it! The bluebook value of the car is in the "fair" condition lists it for $1445.00 and trust me, this car is far better than just "fair". Here is the link to it: http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/mercedes_benz/190e/1993/private-party-value/pricing-report?condition=good&id=10775&equipment=387459|true|387468|true|387438|true|387468|true|387438|true|387435|false|387459|true&mileage=210000 The interior is in excellent shape, there are no tears or cuts. I have a custom CD/MP3 player installed (it's not easy if you wanna do it from stock), with an iphone plug and now it plays MP3 CD-s if you want it. I also had a sub woofer installed with amplifier, but I removed it, since I needed the trunk space. So regardless of what the blue book value is, I'm offering a very low price here...I tried to sell it before, but I pulled back, since I love this car for its comfort and reliability (drove down to Wichita, Kansas 2 years ago with this) it's hard to part from it..it's a looker, even though since it's a 4 cylinder this isn't a "performance" car, but more like a comfort luxury car with a good gas mileage. Why I'm not selling the other ones? Because one still have a financing on it, while the other is so worthless (about 500 bucks) that I rather keep it and drive it until it falls apart completely, than sell it. Trust me, when you drive this, you will say forget about all the other compact cars and sedans offered for more money, I know I have 2 more cars here, neither of them offers the comfort level like this one does. I also got spare parts to it. I got an entire brake pads package (rear and front), that I was gonna change, but since the ones on it are still good, I figured I'll do it later, but since I decided to sell it, it's yours for free (about $80.00 value). I got 2 yellow turn signals (they aren't cheap either, even in used condition) from the original headlight system I have saved, since I changed the entire front lights on it and came with clear-turn signals. One of the clear turn signals on the car is a bit cracked, thanks to the New York City drivers and their parking habits. I also got more parts for it, smaller things, such as a fuel pressure regulator and I also have the original radio/cassette player it came with, although I wouldn't use it again. For payment, pay me in full with either cash or cashier's check in person. I would only accept personal checks if it's first cleared and THEN you would be able to take the car.
