Vehicle Detail
Hello! You are bidding on a 1978 Honda Hawk Hondamatic motorcycle. The Hondamatic was Honda's first automatic transmission bike, and they were basically only made between 1978-1980, so they are not as easy or common to find in the motorcycle world as other bikes. Also, just would like to let you know the reserve is lower than the buy it now price. To see it being ridden: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-BCqF4fjVg * Also, a Honda Hawk CB400 Repair & Tune-Up guide will come with bike. Plus 2 sets of keys. CONDITION: I will describe the condition of the bike to the best of my knowledge. Basically, I bought this bike last July from a lady in New York. I was looking for a bike, in which I did not need to worry about shifting with a clutch. It is a 2-speed automatic. I am selling my bike because I got laid off from my job, and since I am a small girl (110 lbs.) I realized this bike is a little too big for me to handle. My feet don't quite touch the ground. It runs smoothly. It must be kick-started. If you want it to electric start with the push of the button, you will need a new starter and battery. There is a slight rip in the seat, but it doesn't effect the riding of it. It has been garaged its whole life, so there is little rust. There is no rust in the fuel tank. The tires were put on like last year, so they are basically new. It was inspected last year in the state of New York and passed. I have a clear title from the state of Pennsylvania. --> So basically, let me reiterate... the bike works, but it needs an electric starter and battery if you want it to electric start, and probably could use some new spark plugs in the future (not at the moment.) There are some slight scratches/dents (nothing big) and has a rip in the seat. FEATURES: It has a back bike rack for use in carrying items. You can take it off if you prefer not to have it on there. HISTORY: I bought the bike from a lady in Homer, New York last July. It was trailered very carefully by myself back to Lemoyne, PA. As far as I know, it has never been in an accident. I don't know if there were any previous owners. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: Buyer is responsible for pick-up or transportation of vehicle. A down-payment of $200.00 must be made within 48 hours of the end of the auction. You may pay for the whole bike at the time it ends. (There are no re-funds for either.) So, please ask any questions before the auction ends. I will accept paypal and money orders. Bike will not be allowed to be shipped or title transferred until all payment is made. CONTACT: The bike is being stored at a friend's in Silverdale, PA if you need to plug the city in for shipping calculators or GPS. Please feel free to contact me at anytime via EBAY or 215-350-7476 to ask any questions. I have an 100% rating on ebay, and will do my best to answer all questions honestly. I want you to feel comfortable with your knowledge of the bike's history or quality, and the process of transferring/buying the bike through Ebay.
