I purchased this car in 2006 from a dissabled, "weelchair" man that had the car stored in an open storage facility for 5 years. He was interested in my 2006 recentlybought,PT Cruiser that I needed to sell desperately, because I was totally broke and at this time,my 35 year old son had just survived the surgical removal of a 30# hernia. while residding in Arizona. While he was on life support, he had lost all livelyhood home,tanceools,everything materially.But,he was recoverring fast and to shorten my story, I recieved the GT site unseen with the only knowledge about it was what my freind shared with me.He told me that he was the second owner since new and he gave me an abundance of knowledge that he had aquired and I,ve done extensive research.I replaced both front axels, all brake componants,that are normally replaced.A brief list of work that I have done towards making the car road wourthy, is-water pump,hoses,thermostat,power steering pressure hose,general tunning and I dro,ve it in about a 30 mile radius, for a few weeks and I was in the process of experimenting by installing a single venturie carburator, but I became ill, my mother was very ill so I stoppe pontial buyerd on the GT project. A few days ago I hired a profesional friend to help me prepare the car tshow it to a potential buyer.The pistures of the interior, after a few days of basic restoration, are included in my re-listing.The restoring I,m referring to is without replacing any original material,just cleanning and minor cosmedic repairs. I saved the original Quadrajet carb.so that it could be reinstalled later,because as I mentioned, I had to stop.I hope that the buyer has a good experience with this notorious vehicle.As it is ovious,it has been an adventure in my life.Thank you who can appreciate my story.Some of the information that the second owner gave to me included an internet apraisal that indicated the GT's aproximate value to be $4000.00 +$2000.00 aditional because it has the special high performance 400 hp, 455cid engine while the regular455 has 375hp.Presently,I'm in no position, financial or physical condition to keep it so I'm lowering the price.The bidding will start at $1,300.00 and it does not sell, then my plans are to part it out, which will be like sacralige,because it currently registered until December and it is close to being road ready.
